Can’t-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted here, at Wishful Endings, to spotlight and discuss the books we’re excited about that we have yet to read. Generally they’re books that have yet to be released. It’s based on Waiting on Wednesday, hosted by the fabulous Jill at Breaking the Spine. If you’re continuing with WOW, feel free to link those up as well!

I am pretty excited for this one. We love Steven King movies at our house, so. I simply can’t wait to get my hand on this book. I want to read it so badly. And loo at that cover, it is crazy creepy and just gorgeous!

Sleeping Beauties by Stephen King & Owen King
Expected Publication:September 26th 2017 by Scribner
Genre: Adult Fantasy/Horror

In this spectacular father-son collaboration, Stephen King and Owen King tell the highest of high-stakes stories: what might happen if women disappeared from the world of men?

In a future so real and near it might be now, something happens when women go to sleep; they become shrouded in a cocoon-like gauze. If they are awakened, if the gauze wrapping their bodies is disturbed or violated, the women become feral and spectacularly violent; and while they sleep they go to another place. The men of our world are abandoned, left to their increasingly primal devices. One woman, however, the mysterious Evie, is immune to the blessing or curse of the sleeping disease. Is Evie a medical anomaly to be studied, or is she a demon who must be slain? Set in a small Appalachian town whose primary employer is a womenโ€™s prison, Sleeping Beauties is wildly provocative and gloriously absorbing.

I LOVE King and have to have a physical copy of all his new releases. I’m glad to see the price has gone down because at one point, the preorder was close to $40.00. I must preorder my copy soon!

I haven’t read this genre much lately but I’m still a big fan of his books. Wow, sounds awesome, Jenea. I hope you’ll enjoy it when you read it. ๐Ÿ˜Šโค๏ธ

Despite his immense popularity, I’ve never read a novel by Stephen King. I think I’ve always been scared off by them because they LOOK and SOUND too creepy. ๐Ÿ™‚

Happy reading – and thanks so much for visiting Finding Wonderland, Jeana. ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m not sure if I’ll read this one. I loved a lot of King’s earlier work but the last six I looked at were pretty slow to get into and I DNFed. I’m looking forward to seeing some reviews of it though!

OMG…Stephen King….I don’t read this author. He’s much TOO scary for me! It’s a shame, though, in the case of this book. The plot does sound fascinating! I would LOVE to know how events pan out in this novel. And that cover is GORGEOUS!!

I just went over to Goodreads to see how this book is classified. I was hoping that “horror” would not be one of the categories it’s been tagged under. My hopes were dashed, alas! One of the categories listed is indeed that of horror….

I think it’s interesting that King and his son are collaborating. I wonder how that has turned out! Hope you enjoy this one!

Thanks for visiting and commenting on my own CWW post!! So sorry for the late comment back….:(

Hope you have a great week!! <3 ๐Ÿ™‚
