In the first book in bestselling author Lisa Regan’s new series, a one-night stand sets a detective on the trail of a terrifying unsolved crime.

With his career on thin ice and fresh ink on his divorce papers, Sacramento PD Detective Connor Parks goes searching for solace at the bottom of a bottle…and winds up in the arms of a beautiful woman. By morning she’s gone, and the one clue she left behind sends Connor on a desperate mission to unravel a decade-old mystery—her abduction.

Presumed dead for the last ten years, Claire Fletcher has been living her life as “Lynn,” a woman in the terrifying grip of her captor. After her unforgettable night with Connor, Claire clings to the hope that she’ll see him again, that he’ll follow her into the dark. But anyone who gets close to Claire has a way of turning up dead…and she’s unwittingly made Connor next on the list.

Before long, it becomes disturbingly clear: finding Claire Fletcher isn’t just going to be dangerous—it could be deadly.

Revised edition: This edition of Finding Claire Fletcher includes editorial revisions.

Finding CLaire Fletcher was published back in 2012 and had some changes done to it, and the copy that I read is the updated version. With that being said, I am a big fan of psychological thrillers/suspense as many of you have probably guessed. So, it was pretty much a no brainer that I would pick this one up. This is my first book from Lisa Regan and it most certainly will not be the last. I’m not going to restate the plot of the book, because the blurb tells you pretty much everything, and anything else I tel you will just give away too much of the rest of the story itself and I don’t want to ruin anything for you. But I will warn you that this is a raw and roller coaster ride of emotions.

With the alternating Pov’s, it give us the reader this perfect view of all that has happened and is currently taking place. Claire’s point of view is heart wrenching and the abuse she endures both physical and mental is horrific. Yet, somehow she has this strong will power to her, a strength that I don’t think I would have after everything she went through. But she did. There were times that my heart hurt to following her story. Connor, the Detective is broken, from things that has happened in his personal life and is just trying to pick up the pieces. And something about “Lynn” has drawn him to her. His determination to find CLaire was amazing and just adored him for it. Now as for Claire’s abductor, well, her abductor is epitome of pure evil.

Regan kept the pace steady, and had me turning the pages as fast as I could. Now, I had to stop every once in a while because there are some fairly graphic scenes, that tore me up and brought tears to my eyes. God, they were just terrible. In the end, I was happy with the way this finished out and the second book in the series, Losing Leah Holloway is set to be released October 17th 2017 and I am pretty excited for it.

Finding Claire Fletcher is one of those thought provoking and gut wrenching reads. But also a story of survival and healing and it was beautifully written. I believe that fans of dark and gritty suspense will like this one.

I love psychological thrillers as well but I haven’t read any for quite a long time now, haha, I blame this to my romantic mood lately 😉
And my! Isn’t this one sounds intriguing?!
    Great review Jenea 🙂

Psychological thrillers are definitely one of my favourites to read. This one sounds so intense and possibly too intense too! Great review!

I hate it when a synopsis gives spoilers when it’s a thriller/mystery. So, thanks for being careful in your review. This sounds like a great page-turner. I’ll be sure to recommend it to my friends who are interested in thriller novels.
