The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog. This is your news post, so personalize it! Include as much as you want or as little. Be creative, it can be a vlog or just a showcase of your goodies. Link up once a week or once a month, you decide. Book haul can include library books, yard sale finds, arcs and bought books..share them!

This was a fairly uneventful week at our house. Which is kinda unusual for us. My son had a friend here for 2 days, two 16 year old boys together is quite interesting. I thought my son ate a lot, jeez, I had to go to the store again. lol… But they had fun tromping in the woods and playing PS4 adn eating me out house and home. I watched the first episode of Midnight Texas on Hulu and Wow is it good. And got all caught up on Shadowhunters too. I will be watching it from here on out for sure. πŸ™‚ I did get some reading done, I finished 4 this week. Other than that, its been fairly peaceful. I got a couple of new goodies and won a book too. So, how was your week?

I have seen good review for What Goes Up. The premise sounds adorable. I hope to read Midnight Dance soon. I love demented ballerinas (I have no idea why!). When I was in high school, my male cousin moved in with us, and my parents were shocked at how much more food they had to buy, as it was only my sister and I before. Two teenaged boys must have eaten you out of house and home.

The Art of Hiding looks good…I’ve read and enjoyed the author.

I recall those teenage boys…I have three sons and they were teens together, so when they brought their friends around, well, food seemingly disappeared.

Enjoy your week, and thanks for visiting my blog.

Teenage boys do eat so much! I swear my cousin who just turned 17 eats more than most people do in a week. It blows my mind. I’m loving the cover of The Silent Fountain. It’s so pretty! I also tend to love anything published by Mira so I’ll be curious to hear your thoughts on it. Happy reading, and have a great week! πŸ™‚

Haha, I can only imagine how much food two 16 year old boys can pack away. Glad they had a good time though.

Looks like a great book haul too. I’ve been really intrigued by the synopsis and cover for The Midnight Dance so I’ll be curious to see what you think of that one.

    Have a wonderful week!

I was so hungry in my teens πŸ˜€ and I thought I ate a lot when I was 15 and now my brother has reached the same age and he eats twice as much…it’s kind of crazy haha.

  6. Samantha

Oh as someone who teaches teenagers and have seen them eat, I can’t believe you survived a weekend and still had a house to live in! Seriously, those teenage boys pack away food like nothing! Its almost scary!
I really should watch the shadow hunters show. I loved the books, and honestly, I didn’t hate the movie. I really enjoy the story but I just haven’t watched the show. Maybe I am just afraid it would be a disappointment? I don’t know.
    Have a great week!

Oh gosh, teenage boys eat SO much. When I was in high school, one of my guy friends would come over and eat everything! lol Glad they had fun though.

Yay for a book win. That’s always fun!

I am glad you enjoyed Midnight Texas! I need to get to the book and then maybe I’ll watch the show. I don’t subscribe to Hulu though, so it’ll probably be awhile before I get to it. Shadowhunters is another show I really want to see.

I look forward to reading your thoughts on Beautiful Poison. I’ve had my eye on that one. All your new books look good. I hope you enjoy them! Have a great week!

  9. Greg

Yay for the book win! And yeah I can imagine- two 16 ys olds ha ha. I remember at that age I ate EVERYTHING. To bad we don’t keep metabolisms like that , right?

Glad Midnight, Texas started off well.

I laughed about the food and teenage boys. When my son was in high school and played sports he and his friends could eat me out of house and home! Hope the week ahead is a good one for all.

  11. Aleen @ Lampshade Reader

Congrats on reading 4 books! Now that is awesome. πŸ™‚

Glad they had fun, sounds like an epic sleepover LOL.

I’m digging the covers of the books on your new addition shelf.

Hope you have a great week!

  12. Tanya @ Girl Plus Books

Ha, I hear the same comments from my sister who has two boys (18 and 21). That they eat like every meal is their last. LOL So impressed that you managed 4 books in one week! And so cool that you won a book from Jen! Hope you have a great week, Jenea!

  13. Lover Of Romance

oh sounds like it was a good week for you, despite the never ending disposal of teenagers!! My sister was like that, and I think to this day she can still outeat any man or teenage boy haha

Hope you have a wonderful week and enjoy the books you grabbed.

  14. Maureen Bakker

Wow.. four books done last week?! That’s awesome.
Whaha.. I bet those sixteen year old boys ate a lot! Thank god for groceries stores right?!
    Have a great week.
