So, the first week of school came and went, my son was able to fix his schedule within the first couple of days which is a miracle at his school. Other than that, it seemed to go fairly smooth. My daughters school week was even better than she thought it would be With the house being weirdly quiet, I got some reading done, reviews written and scheduled ahead and read. Yeah me!. Not so sure I like whole quiet thing at my house, no bickering kids, no PS4 game noises, no in and out tracking leaves and mud. Oh, who an I kidding. It was pretty great. lol….

Okay all of your new books look interesting. I’ll be looking out for review for all of those. My kids don’t start school until the 31st but I am really looking forward to it, and so are they. Have a great week!

All your books sound wonderful! I’m glad your kids had a good first week of school — it is always hard getting back into the swing of things. I hope you have a wonderful week filled with quiet reading time.

You have some wonderful new books. I love the Goodreads giveaways. I’ve only won twice over the years but it’s always fun when I do. A great way to discover new authors too. I remember when my son was in school. I worked so I didn’t notice the quiet. I dod have to scramble to get him to school, pick him up and get him to events. Fun but tiring times. Kind of miss those times….Not! LOL

I both look forward to school starting again in a week, and not… I look forward to the kids being busy again, but it also means I’ll be busy again too πŸ˜€
Your new books look great, Jenea! I hope you’ll enjoy them all.
Have a wonderful week ahead and happy reading.

As a teacher, my summer vs rest of the year is completely opposite. Summer is my quiet time. Lol. I’m glad their first week went smoothly. The Night Child looks intriguing. I’ve only read one book by the author–years ago–but I remember enjoying it. Happy reading!

Good for you to get in some reading time, and I’ll bet the kids are happy to be back in school, right? (lol) You added some nice books to your shelves. Hugs and Happy Sunday!RO

When my daughter was in elementary school, the first few days of school always seemed so quiet… but nothing to how quiet the house was after she left for college (after homeschooling high school.)

Have a good week with plenty of quiet reading time to dive into those new books!

Ooh, congrats on getting The Night Child! I wanted that. And The Quantum Door looks pretty good, congrats on winning πŸ™‚

It’s always a relief when the children settle back at school without any hitches – ours don’t go for for several weeks, yet. I hope you have another peaceful, enjoyable reading week:))

  11. Trish @ Between My Lines

It’s great that the kids are settled and now you can enjoy lots of quiet time! And hopefully lots of reading time too, as you’ve got some great new books. I’m loving the look of The Night Child and Goodbye Good Girl. Enjoy!

Sounds like you had a nice and relaxing week! Glad your son was able to fix his schedule so easily. All your new books look wonderful and the covers are gorgeous. I’m looking forward to hearing your thoughts on them. Have a great week, Jenea! πŸ™‚

Well, since I’m a teacher and had to go back this week, my reading time got cut. It makes me sad πŸ™ But, alas, I gotta have a job!!
Enjoy your reading time and read some extra for me!
