The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog. This is your news post, so personalize it! Include as much as you want or as little. Be creative, it can be a vlog or just a showcase of your goodies. Link up once a week or once a month, you decide. Book haul can include library books, yard sale finds, arcs and bought books..share them!

Our house has been so busy this week. I think I have spent so much time in my car, the only benefit of waiting in the car so much is I got some really good reading done. I finished 6 books. Our daughter had a great birthday and she wanted me to ya’ll thank you for the birthday wishes. πŸ™‚ My son did go back to the orthodontist and he will not be getting his braces off till probably right before Christmas, but at least we know now. He’s got some stubborn teeth. The weather here has bee cool and rainy, and our high Saturday was only 65. It was Great!! So, that about it for me. If you are in the US, do you have any plans for the Labor Day? We will do some grilling and hang out at home for the day with the kids.

We don’t have Labor Day over here, so no plans for it. I’m just in a good film and book groove at the moment and getting stuff done which is great! Hope you have another productive reading week!

  2. Samantha

I can’t read in the car anymore. I used to be able to do it when I was younger, but now, it just gives me a headache!!!! Ugh!
It was cool here yesterday too. Its suppose to be 85 on Monday but then back to the low to mid 70’s. I am SO ready for colder weather!
    Have a great week!

Six books! That’s amazing….so it’s good that you were waiting int he car a lot, I guess.

Enjoy your week, and I like the look of The Girl in Times Square.

    Thanks for visiting my blog.

I am glad your daughter had a nice birthday, Jenea. My daughter’s future will likely include braces. :-S I bet your son is excited to have an idea of when he can finally get rid of his. Your Labor Day plans sound nice! We don’t really have any plans. We had thought of spending some time in the pool, but with the smoke in the air from the nearby fires, that might not be the best idea. Maybe a movie marathon day inside. Your new books look like they will all be good. So many pretty covers!

I hope you have a great week!

I hope you are enjoying your holiday weekend plans. The weather is nice here – sunny and a little cooler than it has been – so I’m about to grab a book and head outside. The Devil in the White City is one of those books that catches my eye every time I go to the bookstore but so far I haven’t read it. Hope you and your son enjoy it!

Wow – 6 books is impressive! But then, there has to be some compensation for all that car-time, hasn’t there? I hope you have a similarly great reading week, though maybe less time in the car? Thank you for swinging by my blog:)

  7. Tanya @ Girl Plus Books

Wow, almost another 4 months for the braces. At least there’s an end in sight. I am so jealous of your weather. I am desperate for cooler temps! My husband and I our both off for Labor Day but have no special plans. Too hot to grill out – we’ll probably go out to dinner. Hope you’ll enjoy your new additions!

  8. Lauren

No big Labor day plans for me. I surprisingly don’t have the holiday off from grad school, which is disappointing but what will be will be. Ugh braces are the worst. I feel bad for your son, but at least the end is in sight! πŸ™‚ Kasie West’s new book looks adorable so I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on it. The Girl in Times Square also sounds intriguing. Have a great week, Jenea!

  9. Kristin @ Addicted to HEA

Sorry about your son’s braces!! Tell him to hang in there!! We’re not doing anything for the long weekend – hubs is working the entire time. No biggie.

I saw The Queen’s Rising and wondered about that one! Hmmmm, may have to take a second glance πŸ™‚ Have a fun rest of your “chill” weekend!

I love grilling for Labor Day, it’s like the last hurrah of summer! And 6 books! Wow that’s awesome. Hope you have a great long weekend.

The Queen’s rising looks good to me.

Happy birthday to your son! I hope he’s having a great time celebrating. Anyway, I do lots of reading in the car too. It’s fun actually. Glad that you can do that too. Have a wonderful week and enjoy your books, Jenea. 😁❀️

  12. Carole @ Carole's Random Life in Books

My kids are a bit older than yours. My youngest has been driving for a little more than a year and it is so nice not to have to spend hours in the car every week running her around. I do still take her to a few events in areas that I don’t want her driving to but it helps. Enjoy all of your new books!

  13. Sam@WLABB

Another person with the new KWest! I can’t wait to start reading all the reviews, because I am so excited that she released so many books this year, as I can never get enough of West. I had a very lazy Labor Day (that’s how I like my days off). When my daughter was younger, I was her lady-in-waiting at dance competitions and rehearsals. I was always able to get a lot of things accomplished (usually grading papers).

  14. Colletta

6 books in one week! I’m in awe πŸ™‚

For Labor Day, we had a nice day at home with a small picnic in the yard. It was a very relaxing day.

    Have a great week!
