Book haul can include library books, yard sale finds, arcs and bought books..share them!

Another week has come and gone, and it is hard to believe that September is half way through. It ha been a stressful week here at our house. Our family did okay during the hurricane, and my in-laws didn’t lose power or anything, but both of my brothers that live about apart lost power at their houses. As well, as my niece and her husband. Luckily, both of my brothers got power late this week. But no real damage other than trees down. So, we are so happy everyone was okay, it’s hard when you live so far away and can’t get there to help them out. But it’s all over now. Our dachshund is getting worse, and we are going to have to take him back to the vet. ๐Ÿ™

I was supposed to have oral surgery this week, but I went to be put under and my blood pressure was really high. So, no surgery and now I have to wait till October, better safe than sorry. My husband and I binged watch the entire 3 season of Narcos on Netflix. I got some pretty decent reading done while my daughter did her online homeschooling and got some new goodies which I’ve already read a couple of. I hope everyone who had friends and family down south did okay. So, that’s about it for me, how about you?

Glad you guys are okay storm- wise. I feel for all the people who are still without power. And hope your dachsund feels better- sorry to hear he has to go back. ๐Ÿ™

The Architect of Song books look interesting, and The Visitors looks like creepy fun!

  2. Kristin @ Addicted to HEA

I’m so glad you and your family are okay from the storm but sorry your brothers lost power and have to clear trees. That is still a pain in the butt. But what a shitty week – I’m praying for your “puppy” and all you guys. Been there… ๐Ÿ™

So AG Howard is writing different stuff now, huh? Hmmmm… intriguing!!!! I might be interested!! I was definitely over her whole Alice thing.

Hopefully next week is much better *hugs*

  3. Samantha

Glad you and your family made it through the storm. I hope your dog is okay! Bummer that your blood pressure was too high for the surgery but its great that they erred on the side of caution and are waiting.
I’m kind of interested in that new Lauren Dane series so I am curious to get your thoughts!
Hope this week is great and everything works out!

  4. Lark @ The Bookwyrm's Hoard

I’m so glad you and your extended family got through the hurricane without much damage! I’ve been worrying about all my friends and fellow bloggers in Florida, but so far everyone I’ve heard from has been OK.

Sorry to hear about your dachshund. I hope the vet can help.

Nice book haul this week. I hadn’t seen those A.G. Howard books before. Splintered was interesting; I’ll have to take a look at these new ones.

    Have a great week!

I am so glad you and your family are safe after the storms. Thank you for the update. I am sorry about your postponed oral surgery, but as you said, it’s better to be safe than sorry. Your new books all look so good, Jenea! I love the covers of The Hummingbird Heart and The Architect of Song. I hope you have a great week! Enjoy your new books!

  6. Kathy @ My Nook, Books & More

It’s good to hear you and your family are safe. We don’t get storms like that here so I can’t imagine what you all went through. Sorry to hear about your dachshund. We have one too and she’s our baby. It’s hard to see them not well so I hope your dog feels better. Unraveled looks good. I enjoyed Lauren Dane’s Chase Brothers series (which I realize I didn’t finish lol) so I added Unraveled to my TBR. I hope you have a good week!

  7. Olivia

I’m glad to hear you’re safe and hope everything else is going to be all right as well with both surgery and the dog. Take care of yourself!

  8. Katherine @ I Wish I Lived in a Library

Whew! I’m stressed just reading all that. Glad your family is okay and is starting to get power back. That’s too bad about your blood pressure. Definitely better safe than sorry but I’m sure it’s annoying to have to reschedule and replan. I just finished Splintered which was my first book by AG Howard and I really liked it! I’m looking forward to The Architect of Song. Have a great week!

  9. Erin @ Quixotic Magpie

Sounds like your week was a bit of a mixed bag. Glad you fared well during the hurricane, and hopefully your family all gets power back soon. And yes better safe than sorry.

I am adding King of Bones to my TBR and the Haunted Heart series as well!!
