The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog. This is your news post, so personalize it! Include as much as you want or as little. Be creative, it can be a vlog or just a showcase of your goodies. Link up once a week or once a month, you decide. Book haul can include library books, yard sale finds, arcs and bought books..share them!

The first week of October went by already?!?! It was a pretty good week at least. On our way home the other night, a bear was crossing the road so I had to slam on the breaks, to avoid hitting it. And then a little further up, a whole bunch of deer decided to run cross the road all together, the buck was at the side of the car, and I sped up so fast, to avoid letting it run into to the car. My daughter was laughing telling me she didn’t have to pee anymore. All I could say, is that I was ready to go home and move in town. My husband thought it was just the funniest thing. He deals with things like this all the time, but I don’t normally drive a whole at night, so I don’t have to, so I didn’t find it funny in the least. I thought I was going to have a hear failure. Anyway, now that I am done being so dramatic.

I tried to get some reading done, but you know how it is with two teenage kids that like to either bicker with each other. lol… But I did managed to read some really good ones! This coming week will be a hectic one, we should get the result for my son tests, he has orthodontist appt. On Thursday, I am having a small surgical procedure, so I won’t be around the blogosphere for a couple of days, but I will catch up over the weekend and see what all I’ve I’ve missed. 🙂 My husband and I are finally on season 4 of The Blacklist! Yay! I saw last night that season 6 of American Horror Story is on Netflix, I’ve been waiting. Well, I think that is about it. How about you?

Gosh, I know how you feel about driving at night. We live in the country too and deer are everywhere! No bears where I am though. Glad you made it without an incident.

Good luck on the surgery and hope you have a great week!

  2. Laurel-Rain Snow

I hate driving at night, even in the city, and recall when my daughter lived in the mountains and deer would appear suddenly. Scary!

I love the look of your books…especially All Fall Down, which I’ve heard good things about.

I want to check out The Affliction, as I love Beth Gutcheon’s books.

One time my hubby was driving to work and there was a cow in the middle of the road..just staring at him. I am not a fan of night driving at all. Hope this week is nature free!

  4. Stormi Johnson

So I have had deer run in front of me while driving but not a BEAR! I think that would be cool and horrible at the same time…lol.

You got some great books this week, The Clinic looks cool!

    Have a great week!

A bear!?! Thats crazy! I get nervous when I see a deer in the morning on my way to work (seriously though-once you have seen a car totaled by a deer, you get scared!). But I am pretty sure I would pee myself if I saw a bear!
Hope you have a good (bearless) week!

  6. Lover Of Romance

I can imagine how scary that could be. I am from Utah, so we deal with deer on the road pretty often, so it probably wouldn’t scare me like it did for you. Good luck on your surgery though! Hope it goes well for you.

  7. Kathy @ My Nook, Books & More

I’ve had a deer and a large dog sideswipe my car. It was the strangest thing and I did see they ran off so I hope they were fine. I hate driving at night too. I hope all goes well with you and your son!! Have a good week!

  8. Grace @ Rebel Mommy Book Blog

Yikes with all the animals on the road!! I would freak out. Good luck with your procedure. Enjoy your new reads and have a great week!

  9. Sam@WLABB

I am excited to dive into the Shalvis novella. I usually hate novellas, but I love the new series so much, I don’t want to miss any of their stories.

  10. Greg

Wow like an obstacle course on that road! Seriously though glad you didn’t hit anything! A bear- yikes! And good luck with your procedure!! Hope it goes well and no hassles. Have a super week.

LOVE the look of They All Fall Down. Awesome creepy cover too!

I hope your son’s tests will be all good, Jenea, and here is praying for your surgery going great. Enjoy your books this week. A.L. Jackson’s new book sounds great. Happy reading and have a wonderful week, my friend. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

  12. Christy LoveOfBooks

Haha, oh man, that was an eventful drive. I was driving home, out in the country, and a damn owl flew into & hit my passenger side window. Scared the crap out of me. Hope your tests and stuff go well and you have a great week.

We have deer come right to our porch, they like out mint they we have planted, so I don’t normally get excited seeing them on the road. I certainly wasn’t prepared for how many there was. Hunting season here started, so I think they were trying to move higher in the mountain.

  13. Literary Feline

I am glad you had a good first week in October! I hope the test results come back with good news attached. I would have been shaken up after an incident like that with the deer too! I hope everything goes well with your surgical procedure.

I hope you enjoy your new books, Jenea! They all sound good. I hope you have a great week.

  14. Wattle

I love wildlife, but I’m not sure I’d love it if they decided to cross the road in front of me D: I get freaked out enough by birds!

I hope your surgery goes well, and that your son’s test results bring some answers.

    Enjoy your new books 🙂
