Sunday Post #16

Posted by Jenea @ Jenea's Book Obsession in Sunday Post / 24 Comments

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog. This is your news post, so personalize it! Include as much as you want or as little. Be creative, it can be a vlog or just a showcase of your goodies. Link up once a week or once a month, you decide. Book haul can include library books, yard sale finds, arcs and bought books..share them!

It’s already November!!! My daughter is already asking when we can get the Christmas decorations out to go though them and see if we need to change the colors this year. Ugh… My new Kindle arrive Friday and I am loving it! I got a little carried away when it got here though as you’ll see below with the books. lol… It was a pretty good week at our house. We had a little bit of snow, just enough to cover the ground and make the roads slushy, but it was pretty. My daughter and finished Stranger Things, and it was absolutely amazing! We did get some new about our son, and the test results are showing it is something with his kidneys after all, so we are waiting to hear something about sending him to a specialist. Hopefully they’ll get it all figured out soon.

Today, the kids and I are attending a fundraiser dinner at the high school, the are raising money for the library. We live in a small county and don’t get much funding for it, so the book club is having a spaghetti dinner to raise some money to get some updated books in the library for the high school. It will be good to meet some of the other parents and the kids who are part of the book club and tour their library. I know our public library gets some pretty good books, but they are fairly behind when it comes to books as well. It’s just sad that our school system is the same way.

Blog wise, it was a pretty good week, I seem to be getting caught up and scheduling posts out a little further, which is great because I have one homeschooler. 8th grade math really sucks, and it has been a long time since I have done that kind of math, so basically I am re-learning it with her. She’s doing really well though and have enjoyed her courses, so we are happy we gave her this chance.

Well, I think that is about it for, how was your week?

What kind of kindle did you get? That is such a great haul…lol. Hope you enjoy them all! I am glad they have narrowed things down to his kidneys so that maybe they can work on fixing whatever is wrong.

  2. Trish @ Between My Lines

Enjoy your new kindle, they just keep improving them. The spaghetti dinner sounds like fun and it’s for such a great cause. Have a good time 🙂 And I hope you get some answers for your son soon.

What an awesome event! Have fun at the dinner. You got a new Kindle too!! I so want the Oasis, but I have two working Kindles and it’s the time of the year that I must buy gifts for other people. Enjoy! I have to check out that Addison Moore title. I have read a ton of her books, but not in a while.

I hope you enjoy your new Kindle. I’ve a Kobo and I love it. I still prefer physical books, but e-readers make it so much easier to travel with so books. Also, e-books are cheaper and my bookworm habits don’t get so expensive.

Happy readings & wishes of a great week.

My sister in law has a Kobo and she loves hers too. I didn’t used to read a lot on my Kindle, but I have found it is a lot easier to take with me. And the books are a little cheaper too, so I’m sure my bank account appreciates that. lol…

So many new pretties!!! I can’t wait to hear what you think of Butterfly. I loved the hashtag series and this sounds similar so I am hopeful its great!
I’m jealous you got some snow! I love snow.

Ooh, a new Kindle. Enjoy! And such a great haul. I’ve got to go check out Lizzie. And did you say snow? Whoa. We don’t get any here. Just some short cold spells. I do miss the white stuff at Christmas though. Happy reading:)

Lizzie sounds soo good. Yep, we had just a little bit of snow, still way too early though. We haven’t had a white Christmas in a couple of years, maybe this year if we are already getting snow here and there. 🙂

I have also been really busy this past week and my computer mouse arm has been bothering me – I think I need to work at a desk instead of sprawled over my couch!
I think I need a new Kindle soon because mine is taking forever to charge. Luckily Christmas is coming!
