The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. Itโ€™s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog. This is your news post, so personalize it! Include as much as you want or as little. Be creative, it can be a vlog or just a showcase of your goodies. Link up once a week or once a month, you decide. Book haul can include library books, yard sale finds, arcs and bought books..share them!

It’s been a pretty peaceful week here on the homefront, not much really happened. Just homeschool with our daughter, and our son coming and going to ROTC events for Veterans Day. The weather as been nice and cool, so I have enjoyed curling up with my coffee and blanket and with the HoHoHoReadathon still going on, so I just curl up and read my winter/holiday books, and this week I’ll do a wrap up post of all the books that I did read. I am looking forward to the Twitter chat on Wednesday too. Oh, there is one thing, my daughter has finally wore me down, so we are going to get out the decorations for Christmas and go through them and decide what we are going to put out this year and get ready to put them up the following week. My husband will be thrilled. lol… Well, I think that is about it for me here, how was ya’ll’s week?

Looks like some holiday reading is in order:) I got out my decorations today so I can sort them and get rid of the stuff I never use. Plus I always buy stuff on sale after the holiday and its fun to see what I bought last year:)

Yep! I searched for anything winter themed or holiday to try and get me in the mood for upcoming season. ๐Ÿ™‚ My daughter wants to changed the color that we decorate with, even though I just did last year. lol..

The New Neighbours and The Girls in the Picture both look really interesting. Thanks for reminding me about the HoHoHo twitter chat,I’m hoping to make it too. Depending on what time it is here, I haven’t checked yet!

I don’t bother with decorations and stuff-too much hassle taking it all down again! Over the next two weeks I’ll be stocking up all the essentials so I can then avoid the shops until the January sales are over! I hate the Christmas crowds in the shops!

Isn’t it wonderful to curl up with a good book when it’s cool outside? Yay to Christmas decorations! Perhaps some pics in the near future? Hugs…and Happy Sunday!

I love children’s enthusiasm for the holidays. I always had a rule – no Christmas before Thanksgiving, but I think I am in the minority with this rule these days. I love holiday books, but by the time I looked into HoHoHoReadathon, I had read almost all of them. I need to plan better so I can participate next year. Enjoy all your holiday reads!

I am eager to read my ARC of The Wife Between Us…and The Girls in the Picture.

Enjoy your week, and I also hope to get my hands on The New Neighbors.

    Thanks for visiting my blog.

    Lovely new additions
heh lucky you, my husband wont even consider putting up Christmas deco till after Thanksgiving, we still have out Halloween lights up x.x

I miss having a peaceful week – those have been non-existent for me lately. Although it still is a bit early for me, I love Christmas decorations. Since we don’t celebrate Halloween where I live, the stores have been selling Christmas decorations since October. I’m keeping my eye on a few.

I hope you enjoy your new books.

Happy readings & Have a great week.

I’m looking forward to reading The Wife Between Us. It looks so good. I hope you enjoy your books this week. Have a great week!

I’m thinking of being a rebel and putting my decorations out the week BEFORE Thanksgiving this year – just feels right getting into the Holiday spirit early for some reason ๐Ÿ™‚ Maybe it’s all the cold weather we’ve had in the midwest? Looks like you found some great Holiday books for the HoHoHo Readathon – can’t wait to hear what you thought about them! ๐Ÿ™‚

I am not a fan of putting up the decorations. It is so much work, but I enjoy them once they are up. I also tend to tear them down right after Christmas because I canโ€™t stand looking at them after Christmas is over. Hope you have a wonderful week!

We will be waiting for the grandchildren to stay over before breaking out the Christmas decorations as they always decorate the tree, help get the battery operated Christmas toys going and put out all the tinsel and lights around the kitchen and lounge:). But not before December… I hope you have an enjoyable week curled up inside:)

I am not ready for Christmas at all. We probably won’t put anything up here. Congrats on the Bookish First win! I am not sure what I think of that program yet but I do see people winning so maybe it is a good thing. Enjoy your new books and have a great week!

  14. Grace @ Rebel Mommy Book Blog

Yay for a peaceful week!! I need to start reading some holiday reads. Enjoy your new books and have a great week!

  15. Tanya @ Girl Plus Books

Ah, weather cool enough to curl up and reda with a blanket. I might get to experience that in, say… February. For about a week. And then we’ll turn the AC back on. LOL

I’ve looked at The Girls in the Picture several times but still haven’t picked it up.

Your holiday reads look so cozy! Hope you’ll enjoy them!

  16. Samantha

I am trying to wear my husband down so he will drag the Christmas tree upstairs for me but he is holding steady. I will keep trying though! I’m persistent like that!
    Have a great week!
