The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog. This is your news post, so personalize it! Include as much as you want or as little. Be creative, it can be a vlog or just a showcase of your goodies. Link up once a week or once a month, you decide. Book haul can include library books, yard sale finds, arcs and bought books..share them!

This week has been a hectic one for me. It seems like it was never going to end. Extended family drama, husband’s work issues, neighbor having a hard time. If it was going to happen, it did and by Saturday morning I was over the whole week. It wasn’t done with me though. I cut my my finger on a glass that somehow broke in the sink while doing dishes and had to go to the ER because I couldn’t get it to stop bleeding, and they couldn’t give me stitches, so they cauterized it, I think I would have rather had stitches! It hurt like hell! I am hoping that this week is a better week. It is Thanksgiving, and my husband will be off for the couple days, and our son has the Christmas parade for ROTC this coming weekend too. Hopefully, if it isn’t really cold, we will being to Rocky Fork State Park and going on the hiking trail with the kids, so we are looking forward to that too.

Blog wise, it was pretty good. I am really sad that I missed the twitter chat for the HoHoHoReadathon, I didn’t make it home until late that night. Ugh… If I haven’t commented back or visited, and I a little behind, I’ve spent more time in my car than at home. So, I will be catching up for the next couple of days. I managed to get some pretty good reading done, while I sitting in the car so much though. πŸ™‚ And I got some great new goodies too.

So, that is all I have this week. How was your week? Do you have any plans for the holiday week?

It sounds like you’re ready for a break. Yikes at having a would cauterised though, I’ve had a few of those and it’s not pleasant!

I hope the next week is more calm for you, and that you have a great Thanksgiving πŸ™‚

  2. Sam@WLABB

Sorry to hear about your week and your finger, ouch! Hope you are healing well, and you get to do that hike. I think I am too elderly for Twitter chats. My head spins. I just can’t keep up. Wishing you and yours a wonderful Thanksgiving!

    • Jenea @ Jenea's Book Obsession

I just recently starting using Twitter, used to always avoid if I could. lol.. My finger should heal, just can’t bend very well, so typing is fun. But a blogger must blog! πŸ˜‰ Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours as well.

That’s the pits that your week sucked AND that you were hurt. I’m also sorry family matters and the problems with a neighbor made it so rough. I have a feeling that this week will be so much better, and keeping my fingers crossed. Sending healing hugs your way! RO

  4. Samantha

So sorry you had such a rough week! And OUCH!! Your finger incident sounds so painful. Why couldn’t they stitch it?!?
Hope this week is easy and pain free!

    • Jenea @ Jenea's Book Obsession

I basically took out a big bunch of skin, couldn’t pinch it together to stitch it. So, cauterizing it would closed it. It really was awful. But I am glad it was me and my daughter, we switch off washing and rinsing or it would have been her. I would have felt horrible.

Cutting the finger while doing dishes…boy, does that resurrect a very old memory! That happened to me many years ago. I still have a faint scar. Luckily I had stitches.

Hope next week is better! Enjoy the holiday, and read some great books! Thanks for visiting my blog.

  6. Bleu Bailey

Then She Was Gone caught my eye as I’ve been reading Lisa Jewell’s stuff lately.

  9. Jasprit

Hectic weeks are the worst! So sorry you had a bad week, hopefully this week will be better for you πŸ™‚ I also didn’t get to participate in the twitter chat for the HoHoHo Readathon, I totally forgot about it as I was doing something else…probably blogging related. Also hope you have a great Thanksgiving.

  13. Rachel

Oh wow, you have had a hectic week! Sorry to hear about your injury and the trip to the ER. That usually takes a long time!

I got a copy of Keep Her Safe as well and I can’t wait to read it.

Hope this coming week turns out better for you! πŸ™‚

What a dreadful week you had. Finger injuries can be really bad for continued bleeding. Years ago I chopped a tiny bit off the top of one finger in the lab I worked in and hit a blood vessel. It hurt like blazes and bled all over the place! Hope this coming week is kinder to you!

  15. Tanya @ Girl Plus Books

Geez, what a week. And an ER visit on top of all that? Ugh. I hope this week is so much better. How exciting that you got Keep Her Safe! Tucker is a favorite of mine. And Frigid by JLA was so good. I just love her. πŸ™‚

  16. Karen Blue

Sometimes I feel like I live in my car. Sorry to hear you had a bad week, that sucks. My Sunday was a frickin mess. Maybe it was a solar flare or the lunar cycle or something. I hope you have a nice calm week and a happy thanksgiving!
