The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog. This is your news post, so personalize it! Include as much as you want or as little. Be creative, it can be a vlog or just a showcase of your goodies. Link up once a week or once a month, you decide. Book haul can include library books, yard sale finds, arcs and bought books..share them!

Thanksgiving is over, we still have turkey at our house. I think we have just about had enough of it though. lol… We put our tree up and decorated it, and even went and got new window clings. My husband told me the wildlife would appreciate my holiday spirit, because that’s about all who (what) will see them up where we live. We have a couple of neighbors, they might see them too. No Christmas spirit at all… Things have calmed down a little on drama front here which makes me happy, and less stressed. I had to go back to the doctor about my finger, it was swollen and red. He was not happy that ER did not stitch it, because now it is infected and he can’t do much but put me on antibiotics and bring me back and check it again. It will take much longer for it to heal now. Ugh…

Blogwise, it was a pretty good week, but I step away for the holiday to spend with the family. So, now it is time to catch up ya’ll and get some reviews written too. I read a couple of really good books this week, and got a new pretties on the mail too.

Well,I think that is just about it for me. How about you? 🙂

Oh no 🙁 I hope your finger heals soon, it sounds very uncomfortable for you.

Enjoy your new books! Haha we’ve not even thought about Christmas decorations yet (I have a couple that are up all year round if I’m being honest, a trio of nesting doll penguins and a Christmas Eeyore figure…thingy lol they’re just too pretty to put away!)

It is no fun at all. Although I have learned how to type without using my last two fingers on my right hand. 😉

I have a couple of Christmas decorations above my kitchen cabinets, I leave them all year. I just dust around them. lol…

Glad you had a good Thanksgiving! Maybe it’s time to get creative with those leftovers. 🙂 Make a Turkey pot pie! 🙂 Hope your finger heals quick, that really sucks they didn’t take care of it properly. 🙁

    Have a great week!

I like the look of Things to Do When It’s Raining…

For a few years, I have been a guest at Thanksgiving dinners, and I do miss the leftovers. But then I look at my fridge and know that it’s too tiny to host a dinner with all those leftovers.

Enjoy your week, and here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES

Oh, I’m sorry to hear about your finger! That’s awful. I hope it gets better soon though.

I also need to work on blog stuff – hopefully later today. I’m a bit behind on scheduling. haha

I feel ya on the leftover turkey. We had turkey sandwiches for lunch today and decided that was it. There may be more left – but we’re done. LOL Sorry to hear about the infection. Ugh. Hope it clears up quickly. Hope you have a great week!

  6. Sam@WLABB

Sorry to hear about your finger. It must be really frustrating that they did not treat the injury properly the first time. I hope you heal quickly!

  7. Lover Of Romance

I am glad to hear that you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. And yes I love decorating for Christmas but if you live in a remote area only the deer and the birds will see it although they need some Christmas too right? My mom does these turkey rolls that are so delicious. I think I like them more than actual turkey on Thanksgiving. hehe

I can deal with one day of turkey leftovers….maybe 2…but I just can’t do anymore than that lol it’s just not one of those foods I can eat on a consistent basis. Luckily, my family got a small turkey this year so we only had one day of leftovers. That’s horrible about your finger – I can’t believe the ER didn’t do stitches. Hopefully, the rest of your recovery will be smoother! I’ll be curious to hear your thoughts on Off Limits. I read the BookishFirst excerpt and I wasn’t too impressed. Have a great week, Jenea!

You have my profound sympathy regarding your finger – how disabling! Erm… if you are already sick of turkey, what do you do when Christmas comes around? Here in the UK most folks have roast turkey… Have a great week, Jenea and hopefully your finger will start to improve.

  10. Greg

Hope your finger feels better soon! That must be frustrating. And we’re decorating this weekend too- the tree is almost up, we keep taking breaks lol.

I’m a little sick of turkey too at this point. 🙂

Hope the new books are all good!

  11. Shandy Jo

I don’t bother with the outside, for the same reason, but do decorate inside. Sorry to hear about your finger though. Hope you have a good week.

  12. Samantha

Oh gosh! I am sorry to hear that your finger is infected! Thats just awful. Hopefully you are able to get it healed up quickly. Enjoy your books and your Christmas decorations, even if no one else sees them! I tell my husband I decorate for ME!

I’m self treating possible sinusitus at the moment which is making me grumpy. It sounds like you didn’t get great treatment for your finger and that must be so frustrating. People don’t seem to take their jobs seriously or that wouldn’t have happened to you. Hope things get better soon.
