Secrets can kill.

Harper wanted Sean to dominate her, to degrade her… and she loved every second of it. Every hot, gasping-for-breath, clenching-the-sheets moment. She loved to have him looming over her, dictating her every move. She got off on it.

But now it’s too real. Their relationship has gotten complicated and dark, fast.

For Sean, Harper is more than just a good f*ck. She’s quickly becoming an obsession. When she pulls him from the fire yet again, he can’t pretend that she’s not the center of his world.

But Harper’s got secrets too, and hers are twice as deadly. When she finally starts to unravel, they will both have to find a way to save themselves -- and each other -- if they want to stay together.

This book is Book 2 out of 2 in the Addicted To You duet. It is recommended that you read Addiction first. At approximately 50,000 words, it ends in a HEA. As a dark romance, it touches several sensitive topics, but contains no cheating.

Obsession is the second book in the Addiction duet, and it picks up right where the cliffhanger ending left off. Thankfully, that ending just about killed me. If you haven’t read the first book, it might have a little bit of what happened in the first book in this review, so I hope it doesn’t spoil it too much.

In addiction, Sean and Harper’s relationship was going pretty good, they were getting to know each other, both emotionally and sexually. They’ve learned each other’s secrets that they held so close, but Sean’s relapse takes back back down an all too common road for him. And right at the end, he was arrested in front of Harper. She hasn’t heard from him since, has no idea of where thing stand between them. She’s hurt and most of just lost without him… Sean’s brother does contact her, and together they are going to try to help Sean and her get back on their feet and make a life together.

Sean and Harper are two character’s that I simply adore, yes, they has issues. They don’t always make the best decisions. But they do try and learn from them, and that I like about both of them. Sean’s relapse was awful, and I felt just horrible for him. I was happy to see that he was a little less guarded with Harper this time around and she was the same way with him too. She has come a long way with her recovery. They are so good for each other, and I enjoyed their interactions with each other, not just the smexy ones. Sean’s brother really surprised this time though, I wasn’t sure about him the first book. But he really came shining through. I just can’t enough about all the people that played parts in Sean’s and Harper’s story, they were all really fantastic.

This duet is about two broken people, not with one trying to fix the other, but two people trying to help each other mend themselves and move on, and move on together. Together, they are strong and it doesn’t take them long to fall back into their BDSM routine, and wow was it full hot steaminess! Sean and Harper get their HEA, but it wasn’t without some pretty serious ups and downs, but it was all so worth it. It was a freakin’ awesome ending for the Addiction Duet!

There are only one or two of these types of romance that I’ve liked Jenea the rest leave me embarrassed or grossed out. I like a good story with my sex otherwise its just porn. You seem to like it so maybe I’ll give it a go as long as there are only two people involved. I love inked guys too but I often wonder what that ink will look like in 25 years 😉

My husband and I both have several tattoos and we say the same thing about when we get old, wonder how they will look. lol… It is only Sean and Harper and no one else, if that helps. The story it self is really good too. I am the same way with this genre, so I completely understand. 🙂
