This blogging year started off late fairly late in the year. My first post on the new site was July 17th. With major health issues I decided to step away a couple of years ago. So, it had been a while since I had blogged when I started Jenea’s Book Obsession, and at first I was a little apprehensive about it. But everyone so sweet and so welcoming once again. I missed reading and blogging so much. And I am really happy to be back. It has been a lot of fun so far. I participated in my first readathon, HoHoHoReadathon and have met so many new bloggers and made some amazing new friends as well as connecting with some that I missed dearly. It didn’t take to get back into the swing of things, and I’ve read some pretty amazing books and some not so amazing. Only one DNF, so that’s good. I am looking forward to next year and getting to know some more fellow book lovers and discover some new authors too. So, here is a little bit of my year.

MY FIRST REVIEW OF THE YEAR:

I always been one those that reads the summary before I read a book, but I decided not to this time. So, I went in blind and I really happy that I did. The beginning I did think I was going to be in store for a story that was going to take place on another planet, but it didn’t turn out to be that way, it stay here on Earth. This story does however take us through three different time periods with four very different women, both young and older.

MY LAST GOODREADS REVIEW OF THE YEAR:

Sometimes friendship can spark between two people people who just meet. Sometimes between two people who are so very different. This is exactly what happens with Kat and Alice when they meet at the airport while waiting for their planes. It didn’t take them long to become close either, they bonded rather quickly. They bonded over their troubles, their husbands, money, even the death of one their babies. They shared everything with each other, the good and the bad. Sounds like a great friendship to me. But was it really…

I’m certainly glad to have met you for sure, Jenea, and your book total for 2017 is pretty amazing! To have only one DNF is phenomenal. Happy New Year! Hugs…RO

I wasn’t aware of the health issues, Jenea. I hope that’s all behind you now. Looks like you had a really good reading year. I also read Haven and really enjoyed it. I’d love to see that one become a series, even though I don’t think there are any plans for that. I hope 2018 is a great year for all of us!

Good luck with your goals for this year!

Sounds like you had a great reading year in 2017. and that’s one thing I really like about the blogging community, how welcoming everyone is. That’s nice you returned to blogging after being away for a while. It’s nice seeing all the books you read like this. Good luck with your reading goal for 2018!
