Posted by Jenea @ Jenea's Book Obsession in Sunday Post / 55 Comments

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog. This is your news post, so personalize it! Include as much as you want or as little. Be creative, it can be a vlog or just a showcase of your goodies. Link up once a week or once a month, you decide. Book haul can include library books, yard sale finds, arcs and bought books..share them!

This week has seem to fly by already. Our weather here has been so nice, it’s been in the 50’s and 60’s for the last few days, until today. Our dusting of snow overnight turned into about 3 inches of snow this morning when we got up and it is still snowing now, and it’s 6:30. I think our weather people were just a tad off. πŸ˜‰ On the home front, it was a fairly busy week. Our son was promoted to P.T. Commander and Flight Sergeant in ROTC. So, he’s pretty excited to step into these roles for this semester. My daughter and I started on the practice T-Caps for the upcoming test in March. My husband got a gaming computer which he is loving so far, he’s been playing on his days off this weekend. He did tell me, now he understands how I can so excited over getting new books. Yay! Finally!

Blog-wise is a great week. My posts that were scheduled out went up without a hitch. I am really liking this whole being organised thing. (it won’t last for long.. lol) This month is full of appointments for just about all of us, so I am trying to stay ahead. This week I have a Mammogram, and as long as it comes back clear, I will be able to only have them once a year from now on and not every couple of months for rescanning. Between the mail lady and UPS, is was a busy week. Quite a few new shiny books came. Don’t know where they are going to go, my shelves are already full and being stacked in front of other books. My son told me that I didn’t need to keep getting more books, didn’t I already have enough. WHAT?! *dies a little inside* Of course, I told him there was no such thing as too many books! He’s a good kid, just not a reader like he was when he was smaller. MY daughter did have taking picture for me to put on Instagram. Well, I think that is about it. How was your week?

Congrats on your son’s promotion, that’s awesome! And hope it stops snowing for you. We hit upper 50’s one day last week, but other than that it’s been cold and snowy. πŸ™

I just finished The woman in the Window and liked it a lot.

  2. Trish @ Between My Lines

Well done to your son, you must be really proud. I nearly bought The Woman in the Window yesterday, and now I’m sorry that I didn’t! And I love when my blog is scheduled too, but sadly it isn’t at the moment. When work eases off a little though, I’ll be back on it!

  3. Tanya @ Girl Plus Books

Looks like we both enjoyed some milder weather this past week… and now it’s over. πŸ™‚ Congrats to your son on his promotion! Good for him. And fingers crossed that the mammogram comes back all clear. I’m so impressed with you scheduling blog posts. I wish I was so organized!

  4. sjhigbee

Congratulations on your son’s promotion – he’s clearly worked hard. And I’ll be sending positive thoughts in your direction over that impending mammogram… Yes – I should try scheduling blog posts, but I’m not that organised. In the meantime, have a great week, Jenea.

  5. Sam@WLABB

Wow! You won three books. That’s awesome! It seems everyone is winning stuff. My turn must be coming up soon. Congrats to your son, good for him! Fingers crossed all goes well with your screening. I hope you have a great week!

  6. Laurel-Rain Snow

Enjoy that haul, and you can always add shelves later. I had books stacked on a barbecue cart for a while a few years ago.

    Congrats to your son’s promotion…

I am loving The Woman in the Window. Thanks for sharing…and for visiting my blog.

  7. Deb Nance at Readerbuzz

Only another book-crazed person like you and me can really understand the joy of getting yet another book in the mail. That’s why I love the blogging community so much; I feel understood.

  8. Vani | Off-Color Lit

Isn’t the Dollar Tree amazing!? I love getting books there. They’re usually a few years old but for a dollar come on. So good. You had an awesome week for posts! Hopefully you keep the organization up πŸ˜‰

  9. Michelle @Because Reading

Congrats to your son! My husband doesn’t understand my obsession with books either but I tell him not to worry about it too much. πŸ™‚ he now just rolls his eyes when I get new books.

I have to go for a Mammogram soon now that my insurance is all taken care of now. It was so all over the place last year. I hope you test come back awesome!

Have a great week, Jenea! Happy Reading!

  10. Yvonne

Congrats to your son! Good luck on the Mammogram.

My husband always used to tell me I have too many books. Now, with my Kindle, he has no clue how many I have πŸ™‚

    Have a great week!

  11. Samantha

What a stack of books you have this week– lucky you! I’ve read Under the Harrow and Two Girls Down– both good for me, and I have Watch Me from NG to get to soon, plus The Woman in the Window is up next. Hope you’re enjoying it! Have a great week reading!

  13. Literary Feline

Congratulations to your son on his promotion. You must be so proud of him. It sounds like you had a great week, blogging and reading wise. I am a little ahead blogging wise, but I know it won’t last long. Enjoy your new books! Have a wonderful week!

  14. Lark @ The Bookwyrm's Hoard

Congratulations to your son! And what is T-Caps? Also, I hope your mammo goes well.

Well done on the blog organization. It does take a lot of stress off when things feel more in control. I’d love to get back to that point LOL!

  15. Stormi Johnson

Not heard of half those books but I hope you enjoy them. I have read Two Girls Down and that was a good one. I am on a waiting list for Woman in the Window!! πŸ™‚

  16. Anne @ The Reading Life

It seems like a lot of people have either husbands or boyfriends who game. But who am I to judge, I’m a gamer myself! At least he understands now how passionate bookworms can be.

It’s getting warmer where I live too. The cyclone seriously dropped the temperature around the world for a while. Definitely wasn’t use to it.

    Have a great week!

  17. Karen Blue

Congratulations to your son! I do think he is crazy thinking you have “enough” books though. Lol! So glad to see you enjoyed The Woman in the Window. I really enjoyed that book. Have a great week!

  18. Rachel

Our weather has been warm this winter, but we did have a lot of rain and mudslides last week. Those fires really killed us in Southern California. Hope the snow doesn’t pile up too much for you. Good luck with your Mammogram. I have to go for an US every six months to keep an eye on a problem area. It’s a little worrisome to think about it, but better to be safe than sorry. Yay for winning The Hookup by Kristen Ashley! I love her books, or at least most of them. Happy reading! πŸ™‚

    • Jenea @ Jenea's Book Obsession

It is good to know early and I’m a big believer in preventive measures. It helped me before, and everything has been clear for the past couple times so think everything will be okay. Have a great week. πŸ˜ƒ

  19. Grace @ Rebel Mommy Book Blog

The weather sure has been crazy. It was super warm then so cold today. Congrats to your son! Good luck with your mammogram. Enjoy your new books and have a great week!

  20. Nina

I know how you feel, my sister just asked me the same. Today a big box arrived with new books! She was looking at them and said why do you need more books? You have so much! Me: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I need more. πŸ™‚

I hope you have a wonderful week!

  21. Samantha

So many great sounding books here! I particularly want to read The Woman in the Window and Two Girls Down – both are on my TBR list as well. It looks like you have lots of great reading ahead of you. Enjoy!

  22. Natalie @Natflix&Books

It got sooo cold here this weekend, too, plus snow. Bleh. Congrats to your son! I’m looking forward to The Belles, and have been kind of reading The Woman in the Window (I keep getting distracted-lol). Happy reading!

  23. Melissa (My World...in words and pages)

The weeks do seem to come and go so fast these days. Each year seems to go faster and faster as well. Thanks for visiting me! Have a great week!

  24. Lola
