Sunday Post #28

Posted by Jenea @ Jenea's Book Obsession in Sunday Post / 20 Comments

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog. This is your news post, so personalize it! Include as much as you want or as little. Be creative, it can be a vlog or just a showcase of your goodies. Link up once a week or once a month, you decide. Book haul can include library books, yard sale finds, arcs and bought books..share them!

I just wanted to thank everyone for the kind words and for stopping by my post last Sunday. It was a hard weekend, the funeral was Saturday night and the burial on Sunday. My kids are doing a little better. James and his Wife Margaret were like grandparents to them both and like parent to me as well. We miss him greatly. But we have such wonderful memories.

It was a fairly busy week with the kids and school, and my husbands work schedule. And blogwise is was pretty busy too. Haven’t felt like doing much of anything, but I have read, and visited and if I missed you, I will stop by soon. I’m a little behind. I did get some really great goodies this week, and I am going to venture with audio books, so wish me luck. 🙂 We have snow coming tonight, and a couple more days this week. The warmer weather was good while it lasted. lol… Well, I think that is all for me. How was your week?

The Waters and the Wild and Bring Me back look like awesome reads, I’ll have to check them out. I’ve heard great things about The Coincidence Makers and I can’t wait to read Anatomy of a Scandal! I hope you have a great week and enjoy your new reads 🙂

Glad you could all pull together and remember what a wonderful person you shared and who cared for you.

We have had some nice warm-up days, too. I froze people out when I threw open the windows for a few hours. 🙂

Oh, very nice haul this week and good luck with your audio ventures. I’m listening to Year One right now. I like it and the narrator.

    Have a good week, Jenea!

I freeze everyone out at my house all the time, I don’t get cold as often as they all do. My husband tells me all the time we could hang meta in our house. Lol.

Whew, I have a hard time with audio book so I’m glad to know the narrator is a good one for Year One.

It’s a tough January. Please hold on in this tough time! Things will get better.
And I do hope those audiobooks help out 🙂 I have been relying on listening to stories a lotlately too. They’re just so good.

Saying goodbye is always so hard. ((HUGS)) I am very visual, and was hesitant to try audiobooks, but now I love them. I listen to them as I do other mundane things, and I am lucky enough that my library gives me Hoopla privileges. It was tricky for me to find the type of book that works for me on audio. SFF books were a failure for me, because they tend to be quite complicated, but contemporary romances are a win, and I love them too.

I am a visual reader and fast reader. So having someone read to me, they normally read slower than I would, and I speed them up they sound like chipmunks. Lol… So, I normally find myself not paying attention to audio book. But I’m gonna try again. 😁

I am glad you all were able to remember how much you loved him! Thats important! And look at all the pretty books you got! I hope you have a wonderful week!

I totally missed what happened last week. I am so sorry to see there was a funeral involved. Oh geez, I feel terrible that I haven’t stopped by.
You did get some fantastic books this week. I have The Coincidence Makers on my list too. I NEED Year One, everyone has been raving about it.
Take care of yourself and have a good week!

A loss like that really kicks you in the guts. I think you deserve to have some quality time with the people you love, with the blog taking a back seat until it feels right for you to do it. We all understand. *hugs*

I’m so sorry for your family’s loss. I know it’s a rough situation, and I’m sending some healing hugs. Sometimes it’s just best to do the things you love with family, and catch up later. Kudos to you for venturing into the audio books. Almost always I fall asleep. (lol) HUGE Hugs…RO
