The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog. This is your news post, so personalize it! Include as much as you want or as little. Be creative, it can be a vlog or just a showcase of your goodies. Link up once a week or once a month, you decide. Book haul can include library books, yard sale finds, arcs and bought books..share them!

This week went by pretty fast, and it is so hard to believe that it is already February. My son will be 17 this coming Saturday, and he is counting down for sure. 😉 Our weather here is so wonky, one day it is snowing, the next it is warm. Saturday night, we have an ice storm, then rain, the snow on Sunday morning and in the 40’s during the day. More snow that night! Mother nature is all over the place right now. I did drive in the big snow we had the other day, my husband asked my if I wanted him to drive, but I said no of course. Gotta get over the fear sooner or later. I gripped the steering wheel so tight my hands hurt, and I didn’t think I’d make it up our steep road, but my husband was in the car, and he kept telling me how to navigate and not slide or anything and we made it. The only thing I can say, is with all the cold weather, I like to stay curled up in my bed with Kindle and read. For the month of January, I read 15 books which is on track with my goal, so I am happy with that. Other than, it was a fairly uneventful week. How about yours? Are you watching the Super Bowl? Big plans?

Good luck with audio! I’d love to read audio books but I always get distracted… 🙁 And same here w/ the weather, it’s snowing again. I’m ready for spring. 🙂

    Have a nice weekend.

Wow! Those weather differences sound really over the top! Kudos to you for gathering up your nerve to drive in snowy/icy weather. You already know I’m doing the happy dance that you have a love with a man who’s patient and kind while teaching you to work with Mother Nature. You’ve added some goodies to your library that look pretty readable. Hugs…and Happy Sunday to you! RO

Yes, love it when it’s raining outside (super cold) and you are curled up on my sofa and just read! Love it. Super relaxing.

    Have a wonderful week.

We have some pretty crazy weather too. I learned how to drive in the snow which comes in handy but I hate it anyway. No matter what you know, you never know. It freaks me out so I just stay home. lol

You had a great Jan, I hope your Feb is just as awesome!

Have a great week, Jenea! Happy Reading!

I’ve never done audiobooks…I am a visual person, so I would feel unable to focus…and how does one go back and check sections in an audio?

I’ve enjoyed some Tammy Cohen books…and also like the look of The Things We Need to Say.

We don’t have snow, and usually the worst driving conditions we have are the foggy days. It just occurred to me that we’ve had very little fog this year.

    I love Spring, though.

Enjoy…and here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES

The Amanda Quick book looks so good. I’ll have to see if my library has it. The weather has been crazy here too…up and down all the time. I wish it were spring 🙂

    Have a great week!

I’m really looking forward to your though on They All Fall Down and The Silent Room as both are on my TBR list. Reading 15 books in one month is pretty darn amazing if I do say so myself! I hope that February goes just as well for you. Have a great week!

I go out as little as possible during winter! I stack my cupboards and freezer in November and then just get in the essentials between cold snaps! As much as I like American Football I no longer watch the Superbowl as it is on too late over here for me to stay up for.

  9. Stormi Johnson

I don’t drive in bad weather unless it’s a half to case, I have slide around in the snow to much and it scares me big time. 🙁 Good for you for trying to conquer your fear of driving in the bad weather. 🙂

    Enjoy your reads!

Oh my, a 17 year old… I’m sure he is counting down the days. 🙂

I do not envy you driving in that weather! I would have to stay put and be a hermit. Or crouch in the floorboard while my husband drove. LOL You’re a rockstar!

Fifteen books in January is awesome! Apparently you’re a driving rockstar AND a reading rockstar. 🙂 Hope your week is off to a great start!

Yeah the weather lately has been so wonky lately and I never know what to expect snow or having it feel like spring. Hope you enjoyed watching the Super Bowl…such a fun game to watch.
