The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog. This is your news post, so personalize it! Include as much as you want or as little. Be creative, it can be a vlog or just a showcase of your goodies. Link up once a week or once a month, you decide. Book haul can include library books, yard sale finds, arcs and bought books..share them!

What a week! At the beginning of the week we had a snow storm come through, got a couple of inches, so of course they kids were out for a snow day. Then our weather people said another little front was coming but it wouldn’t produce much snow, 7 inches later up here in the mountain… The schools finally went back on Friday, and now their school year has been extended by 3 days due to going over their allotted snow days. Can’t really complain though, the upper northeast states are getting pummeled with snow!

Being snowed and being sick with a nasty cold did have it perks though, I stayed in bed most of the week and I got some good reading done, wrote reviews for the next several weeks and scheduled them. So, I am feeling pretty accomplished. Plus no one wanted to get to close for fear they would get my cold. Lol… I did discover that I really need to go the eye doctor and have my eye checked. Trying to read a physical book, I can’t make the print bigger like I can on my iPad, taking me longer to read it. Ugh… Age is catching u with me apparently. I did get some goodies and received my BotM box and already read it too. It was really good. My husband and I finished Hell on Wheels on Netflix, and loved it. Now we are trying to find a new show to watch, I think we are going to start Jessica Jones next. I am also pretty excited for Shawdowhunters to start soon too.

I am happy to report that our dauschund Buck is bronchitis free now! He is back to normal, and up and about too. We are so happy too. Well, that’s it for me. How was your week?

Glad Buck is feeling better, but boo for snow days. You are lucky they just tack days on the end of the year. Both schools I worked in could not change the date of graduation, so they deducted make up days from spring break. It stinks if you have plans. I read almost exclusively on my Kindle, because my eyes are garbage and I need that bigger font and increased white space, and I abhor wearing my reading glasses.

Buck seems to be doing a lot better. More snow is coming this week, and I am so over it already! We don’t get spring break here, so they couldn’t take away any days there. 🙁 I’m gonna have to start looking for the large print books apparently. Lol…

  2. Laura Thomas

It’s warm and humid here. No snow thank you very much. LOL Sorry about your cold and hope you feel yourself again soon. And glad to hear your dog is better too:)

  3. Samantha

Yay for getting lots of reading done but boo for being sick. The snow in the NE has been crazy!! Hopefully last week was the end of the snow for you. Glad to hear your dog is better!

  4. Angela

At least while you were stuck in bed you were able to get lots of reading done! Hope you’re feeling better now!

  5. verushka

Oh I hear you with how different it is reading a book versus a screen now 🙁 I am glad you’re feeling better and took full advantage of being ill to catch up on your reading! That’s the best lol

  6. Tanya @ Girl Plus Books

Wow, that’s a lot of snow. Sorry to hear you’ve been under the weather, but at least you got caught up with reviews. I’ve always been nearsighted but starting 2-3 years ago I had to switch from regular contacts to the multi-focal ones. Pitiful when even the close-up stuff isn’t clear. LOL So now it’s multi-focal contacts or bifocal glasses (depending on the day) and then separate glasses for when I’m working on the computer. Getting older is so much fun. Ha!

Glad to hear that your dog is back to full health. It must have been worrying for you. Snow, ugh! I’ve seen enough to last me for years but we didn’t get it as bad as you!

  8. Cricket

Glad Buck is doing better, bronchitis sucks as a human and I can’t imagine how it feels for a pup. I hope you get to feeling better soon and cool for being able to get ahead. Have a great week with no more snow, hopefully.

  9. Lexxie @ (un)Conventional Bookviews

I’m glad Buck is feeling better, Jenea! Those little dachshunds are the best, aren’t they?

I can’t get over the fact that it’s still winter in the middle of March! We’re supposed to get more snow overnight. *sighs*

Have a wonderful week ahead and happy reading.

The certainly are. He is a rescue dog, we know he he is somewhere around 8-9 years old. He was really skiddish from being abused and shot, and took a lot of time and love but he has turned out to be such a joy.

Ugh with the snow.We have had so much too and our schools have been extended. So not fun!! Looks like you got a lot of great books. Have a great week!

  11. Greg

Glad to hear your dog is feeling better! And hopefully you are too! I really liked Jessica Jones S2 so hopefully you guys will enjoy it. I hadn’t binged an entire show in a while and it was kinda fun. 🙂

Looks like you have some nice new thrillers! I see a Shalini Boland in there, that looks good. I read her Girl From The Sea last year.

  12. Katherine @ I Wish I Lived in a Library

Snow sounds fun even though it did extend the school year. We’ve had a couple of days added to ours but it’s mostly for ice. Sounds like you had a accomplishment full week though too bad about the cold. Glad Buck is bronchitis free! Have a great week!

  13. Stormi Johnson

Yuck about the snow but at least it allowed you to stay in and read when sick. Glad Buck is doing better! You got some really good reads so hope you enjoy them!

  14. Carole @ Carole's Random Life in Books

Sorry you were not feeling well and had snow to deal with. Yuck! It sounds like you really got a lot done though. I can totally relate to what you said about not being able to adjust the font on a print book. It is tough dealing with older eyes 🙂 Enjoy your new books and have a great week!

  15. Daniela Ark
