Book haul can include library books, yard sale finds, arcs and bought books..share them!

Happy Eater to all those who celebrate the holiday!

Our family will be spending the together, watching movies and just spend ping time together. Hope everyone has a wonderful day with family and friends.

It’s hard to believe it is already April! The weather seems to catching up to the fact that it is Spring, no snow, a little on the cooler side but I love the cooler temps. They’ve already extended the school year and now they’ve extended the school days by an hour 4 days a week now. This way they don’t have to move graduation, you’d think the parent would be happy, but you always have the ones who have to complain one way or another. Lol…

My foot is still in the stupid special shoe, 2 more weeks. Ugh. I’m not one to sit still, so it is driving me crazy just sitting all the time. I’ve gotten some good reading done and watched some things on Netflix that I’ve been wanting to watch at least. Got a couple of new goodies, but that’s about it for me. How was your week?

Happy Easter!! It is nice that spring is finally arriving, although like you I don’t mind the cooler temps a bit. I like a nice transition before it gets blazing hot. 🙂

Hope your foot feels better soon. Shoe things like that can be uncomfortable for sure.

  2. Angela

Happy Easter, Jenea! We had beautiful weather today, but I fear it’s going to get cold again, maybe even some snow!

  3. Sam@WLABB

Happy Easter! Our weather is still up and down, but it was in the 60s the past two days, and it was such a treat to shed the parka and open a window. Yeah for only 2 more weeks, though, at least it’s a shoe and not a cast (they are the worst). Happy healing!

Happy Easter to you and yours too, Jenea! I didn’t realise that’s how schools make up time in the US when winter gets horrid! I actually feel for the kids having to go through an extra hour! And here’s hoping the next two weeks fly by quickly!

Happy Easter to you and your family as well. Like you, I’ll be catching up on movies, and last night finished Unfortunate Events which kept me on the edge of my seat. Going for action today. I can’t believe it’s April already either! Seems like we were just celebrating Christmas!(lol) Hugs…RO

  6. Samantha

Ugh extended the school year and added time to the days! You guys must have missed a TON of school. Glad the snow is gone at least! Happy Easter!

Yep! It’s crazy. We get so much more snow up in the mountains but when you in town, they barely have any. But there is still no school. The buses can’t get to the kids who live up in the mountains. 🙂

Your new books look tempting…and I am eager to get my hands on The New Neighbors and A Nantucket Wedding (love Nancy Thayer).

Enjoy your weekend and upcoming week…and thanks for visiting my blog.

  8. Astrid @ Vanilla & Spice Books

Ugh extended school days…ouch. But at least the weather is improving, no snow is definitely a plus.
The weather here is getting more spring-like now too. I think the whole northern hemisphere had a really long winter.
I just finished Jessica Jones season 2.

Happy Easter and have a great week!

Happy Easter! It’s crazy how fast time is flying by right?!
Ugh.. that special shoe sounds horrible. I hope the next two weeks fly by for you too.
Have a great week and happy reading!

  10. Danielle

Hope the foot is on the mend soon! We chose to spend the holiday indoors together just relaxing as well. I had to pick my son up from the airport and everyone is beat after a long week. Have a fantastic week ahead!

  11. Yvonne

Happy Easter! Our weather was starting to feel like spring until I saw tomorrow’s forecast for snow. Yuck!

The Family at No. 13 sounds really good.

Hope you have a great week!

  12. Kristin @ AddictedtoHEA

Happy Easter to you, too. We had a nice quiet day sitting around the house doing nothing much, too 🙂 I actually cooked so that’s something! Sorry you’re still stuck in the “special” shoe 🙁 Netflix and reading isn’t so bad when the weather is crappy, right?

    Hang in there!!

  13. JJ @ This Dark Material

So sorry to hear about your foot! I hope the final two weeks fly by 🙂 Making up missed school is a pain no matter why and no matter who you ask. If only the weather could cooperate more…seems like the easiest solution to me 😂 Hope you have a great week!

  14. Cricket

I understand how you feel wanting to be up and about. Hopefully, these two weeks will fly by. I’m glad the weather is warming up and today here was a beautiful day. Have a wonderful week!

  15. Stephanie Jane

    Happy Easter Jenea!
I hope your foot gets better soon.

I didn’t know anything about schools making up snow time. I don’t think it happens here in the UK, the kids just miss out. That said, our snow levels aren’t up to much compared to some parts of America!

  16. Vi @Inkvotary

I hope you get well soon. Not being able to walk around when you are by nature an active person, is hard. I know from experience. But you´ll see, the next 14 days will go by like nothing.
Stay strong and have a great new week.

    Best wishes
    Vi

  17. Tanya @ Girl Plus Books

Hope you all had a wonderful Easter, Jenea. It was a low-key day for us. Went out to breakfast, went to the Commissary for groceries, grilled some steaks. Oh, and took a 2 hour nap. THat part was awesome. LOL I haven’t heard of any of your new additions. Hopefully they’re all winners!

  18. Suzanne @ The Bookish Libra

I hope you had a lovely Easter and that you’re still enjoying the spring-like weather. I hope that your foot heals quickly so that you can get out of that boot and back on your feet again.

    Have a great week!

  19. Katherine @ I Wish I Lived in a Library

Happy Easter! I hope you had a lovely day. I’m sorry to hear about your foot but hopefully it heals quickly. It’s kind of funny but when I’m perfectly healthy I always wish I had more time to lie around but when I’m forced to lie around I lose my mind! Hope you’re having a great week and enjoying your books!

  20. Daniela Ark

ugh hope these two weeks you have left fly!

I lost track of when our school year is going to end now after all that snow! 🙁

I hope you had a great time with your family watching movies! That’s my favorite way to spend family time!
