The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog. This is your news post, so personalize it! Include as much as you want or as little. Be creative, it can be a vlog or just a showcase of your goodies. Link up once a week or once a month, you decide. Book haul can include library books, yard sale finds, arcs and bought books..share them!

Another week passes, it’s crazy how fast this year is going by. Summer break starts here in NE Tennessee the end this week. My kids will start having friends in and out. My kids are done with the curriculum for the year, so their started last week. My daughter has started reading some of the YA books on my shelves, and I am loving it. Right now she is reading The 5th Wave. Our weather all week has been filled nasty thunderstorms, on one had it isn’t a bad thing, it quiets the pollen that is so bad here. But, when we get so much run the creeks overflow into the roads and getting down off the mountain is a task. We’re gonna start looking for a bigger house, hopefully it will end up being in town.

I did get some pretty good reading done this, and I even listened to an audiobook. And, I made it all the way though it. I’m not used to someone reading me the book, but it was actually really good. So, I had to go and see what else I get. 😉

Blogwise, it was a good one and if I answered any comments I am a little behind on that front. I am scheduled till June 7th for posts and reviews though. Next week on the blog will be a good one, I’ve been trying some new genres, something a different.

Well, I think that about it for me. How was your week?

I’m ready for a break in this rain, too! I’m afraid all my flowers are going to die.

Looking forward to what you have coming up on the blog!

Yeah for summer break. And I hope you find a nice new house. We had rain every day during the week and it finally cleared up Saturday. Looks like you have some great summer reads.

Ah yes, this rain is nonstop here in NY as well. But like you said, at least it calms the allergies. Looks like you have a great week ahead in blogging, can’t wait to see your posts. Good luck on your house hunting as well. Hope you have a wonderful Sunday xoxo 💋 xoxo

What audiobook are you listening too? Once I started listening to audios I got a little addicted – it’s such a great way to catch up with your TBR.

I just said that time is running away with the days! It’s already end of May. How scary is that?

    Have a wonderful week!

  5. Carole @ Carole's Random Life in Books

My daughter finished her school year this past week. This year is moving so quickly. I love it when my daughter reads my books. I have more than a few for her to choose from 🙂 I hope you enjoy all the new books you added this week.

The public school system should have been out last week, but they had to make up snow days, so they don’t get out until this Friday. Luckily my 2 kids are homeschooled and they are both done with their year already. Yay!

Yay for summer break! My kids still have about 3 weeks left of school. They always go into June but they also have some snow days to make up for. It’s just as well since we are still seeing some cooler temps. Yesterday it was rainy and in the 50s. Sometimes I miss Florida and the endless summer temps. Then again, humidity was never my friend.
So much cover love for your new books! I hope you enjoy them all. Have a great week!

Best of luck with the house-hunting! I have a friend who is also trying to sell and buy their house and it is such a major undertaking. The rainfall sounds intense – for once we are enjoying some lovely sunny weather as anyone who watched the Wedding yesterday will see. I hope the coming week is drier, Jenea:)

House rules for kids coming in and out? My toddler had a blast chasing two girls around our apartment lobby yesterday.

    • Jenea @ Jenea's Book Obsession

Yep, they are only allowed to stay 2 days and then have to go home or they’ll never leave. Lol.. We have 4 dogs so one of my daughters friends is scared of them, but still came and stayed almost a week. I even washed her clothes for her too. 😉

  9. Sam@WLABB

I have the first King book, but have not read it yet. Maybe your thoughts on the second book will give me the push to finally read it.

  10. Michelle@Because Reading

I got Kiss of the Spindle too. I am so excited to read it. I loved the first one.
We have had nasty weather too. I wish it would stop raining!

I hope you have a great Jenea! Happy Reading! 🙂

So many tempting titles! Eagle and Crane looks so good…I enjoyed the author’s previous books, The Other Typist and Three Martini Lunch.

The Little Shop of Found Things caught my eye, too.

Enjoy your week, and thanks for visiting my blog.

  12. Rachel

I’ve always been fascinated by thunderstorms. I guess because we don’t get many in California. Glad it’s helping with the pollen.

The Stranger on the Ice looks interesting. Happy reading Jenea! 🙂

  13. Samantha

I’m so jealous that you are scheduled ahead until June 7th! I am not even finished with what I have planned for TOMORROW! Gah!
Its suppose to storm here this week. Thankfully, I don’t live in a big flood area, but living by the Ohio river we do get lots of flooding for the lower lying areas.

    • Jenea @ Jenea's Book Obsession

Down the mountain seems to get so flooded and living up in 2500 feet elevations, the lower elevations basically get all or rain. It’s awful if we get a lot of rain, it makes the road unpassable, so getting out. Just like the snow. Lol..

  14. Kristen @ Metaphors and Moonlight

That’s awesome your daughter has started reading your YA books! Now you’ll have someone to share the book love with 🙂 It’s been storming here too. The bad thing is that it has brought the bugs out, and now they keep getting into the house :-/

  15. Natalie @Natflix&Books

I have 3 more weeks until summer break, although only two more with students. I’m definitely ready for it. The Guilt We Carry looks interesting. I’ll have to check that one out. Happy reading!

  16. Literary Feline

Yay for the end of the school year! We still have three weeks to go. So much is going on to wrap up the year too. I feel like we’ll be going nonstop until then. Good luck with the house hunting! I read Social Creature recently too and need to polish off my review for posting. I can’t wait to hear what you thought of it.

    Have a great week, Jenea!

  17. Sara @ Forever 17 Books

Summertime! We still have a month here and I’m totally okay with that because I have a feeling this summer with my boys home is going to be crazy! lol Enjoy your new reads!
