Erin Dawson had the perfect life growing up in a perfect home with a perfect family. Her parents gave her and her sister everything a child could want. But after learning that the man she’s called “dad” her whole life isn’t actually her biological father, Erin is determined to find the man who is.

Armed with her original birth certificate, she finds her father, but begins questioning if her mom had been right all along to keep this information buried. It turns out he is the president of a motorcycle club, which could not be further from the life Erin leads. But, she’s determined to get to know the man who she gets her striking blue eyes from. Despite getting what she wants and finding her biological father, it’s the slightly older, much rougher but incredibly sexy biker Ace that catches Erin’s eye.

As the new “princess” of the Cursed Ravens, Erin is learning a whole new world, but her father has made it clear she is off limits. Will Ace follow his President’s orders or will he put his heart ahead of his duty?

A sizzling tale of family and passion, Ace of Hearts features Fernando’s signature “snark and sass” (Booklist) and is perfect for fans of Kristin Ashley.

Ace of Hearts is the first book in The Curse Ravens MC series, and wow was it great! From the characters to action and not mention the hot bikers, it was a good fantastic start to the contemporary romance series.

Erin Dawson has grown up living with her mother and stepfather. Her mother didn’t tell her who her father was all these years either. It was only when she found her birth certificate that learns who he is. All she has is name though, so she goes searching and finds him. Changing her life foreve but in a good way.

Erin’s search pans out and she finds her father, but in an unlikely place. She couldn’t believe at first that her mother dated a Biker, let alone that he is the President of the bike club too. He instantly took her in, treating her with respect and care. But there is also a biker who daughter her eye, Ace. Most of the club members seem to welcome her, but there is someone who is not happy about her presence. She find herself being poisoned! Through it all though, she learns more about her father and his life.

Erin was certainly a feisty young woman, so stubborn and so determined. I found myself smiling at her sarcasm through all the events that happened, and her interaction with her father was freakin awesome. Now, Ace, is the somkin’ hot but I enjoyed the fact that there more to him. We only get to know a little bit about him, I would have liked to know more. But the relationship between he and Erin definfiely made up for that. There were some steamy moments between them, but nothings was rushed, which I appreaciated too. fFollowing these two was such a joy.

Now like I said, someone isn’t all that happy with the “princess” of the bike club being there, and when they poison her, all hell breaks loose to find out who. Her father Gage, pulled no punches find out the “who” and “why” either. Just another great thing about this, he loved her even though he hasn’t been part of her life all these years. Trust is broken between Erin and a member of the club and I just had to know how it all ended, and I simply couldn’t turn the pages fast enough.

Ace of Hearts was a freakin’ amazing start the series and I am looking forward to the next installment, Knuckle Down. This will be “Knuckles” story, single father of two girls. He was such a great side character and I am looking forward to getting to this big Teddy Bear… Fans of contemporary romances with a little bit of adventure will devour this one.

Great review, Jenea! I feel like I’ve been seeing Chantal Fernando’s name around a lot lately but I don’t really know anything about what kind of books she writes. I think I’ve only read one MC book (and it wa just okay) so it’d be great to get into a really good one. Maybe this is it!
