Sunday Post #44

Posted by Jenea @ Jenea's Book Obsession in Sunday Post / 38 Comments

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog. This is your news post, so personalize it! Include as much as you want or as little. Be creative, it can be a vlog or just a showcase of your goodies. Link up once a week or once a month, you decide. Book haul can include library books, yard sale finds, arcs and bought books..share them!

This is the last week of May already, so hard to believe that we are halfway through the already. Not much happened this week, got some reading done and type reviews for the next couple of weeks. We will have 2 weeks full of running up and down the road. The kids have every yearly check up in the next two weeks, but at least they will be all done, so the kids can enjoy their summer vacation. My daughter started Marvels Runaways and we both like it a lot. I’m watching The Gifted and it pretty good too. We binge watch tv, no cable provider out here other and satalite tv. We watch only Netflix and Hulu a lot.

Blogwise, it was a great week and I got some decent reading done. I have another audio book that I an hoping to start listening to. Got a couple new goodies, and I happy to say, I stayed away from Amazon this week to.

Well, that my “exciting”, how about you?

OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG I am so jealous you have Kate Morton’s new book!!!!! I pre-ordered it and can’t believe I have to wait until October!

I hope the annual check ups go well 🙂 I prefer to binge watch tv too, when we have to revert to weekly it’s a bit annoying haha, Netflix has spoiled us.

    Enjoy your week ahead!

Oh boy! I also got Netflix and I’m binge watching “Riverdale,” “iZombie,” “Supergirl” and “Power Rangers Ninja Steel.” I’m hoping to get around to watching “Bojack Horseman,” “Black Lightning” and “The Flash” soon.

That’s the pits about cable not being out where you are, but binging on Netflix is just as fun!(lol) My list on there is always full with an eclectic mix of everything. I managed to finish 2 books this week, which is something I haven’t done in ages. Glad you got in some reading and are ahead a little with yoru reviews. That has to feel good. Hugs and Happy Sunday! I read that line about you staying away from Amazon, and remembered the book I bought this morning. In all fairness, I love the author, the eLibrary doesn’t have it, and the book was on sale for $1.99. Meets all my buying requirements. I am excited about the new Kate Meader series. I hope it’s as wonderful as the Chicago Rebels series was.

Glad you had a good week blog wise! Enjoy your new books and have a great week!

We binge a lot here too and we have Sling TV which isn’t to bad. I can at least watch my Hallmark channels. 🙂 I have my eye on Liar’s Paradox for my most anticipated of the last half of the year. 🙂 Not sure to try and get it or put it on my wishlist…lol.

    Have a great week!

I do love the look of The Date, since I enjoyed a couple of other books by Louise Jensen.

I am also curious about The Perfect Family. Any title with “perfect” in it always grabs me.

Enjoy your week, and thanks for visiting my blog.

Your new books look fascinating. Enjoy them! It’s a good strategy to get the appts all finished. I’m not sure I could stay away from Amazon for a day – I have to check out the deals even if I don’t buy anything. Anne – Books of My Heart

Same here with Netflix, I don’t have Hulu. Although I did have it for a month or two when I watched Handmaid’s Tale. I might have to get it again for S2, and there’s a few other shows o there. I thought the Runaways and the Gifted were both pretty good, although the Gifted took a while to get moving for me…

I’m having a bit of book envy over your new books! They all look great! IT does always seem like doctors appointments are always all at once but you’re right about it at least being over with! We’re relaxing a bit this week too which is really nice. Have a great week!
