A single father struggles to change for his daughters and the woman he loves in this second book in the Cursed Ravens Motorcycle Club series from New York Times bestselling author Chantal Fernando.
As a single father of two girls and the sergeant at arms for the Cursed Ravens Motorcycle Club, Jack “Knuckles” Chester doesn’t have much free time. And having earned his road name from his reputation as a fighter, Knuckles isn’t one to back away from a challenge.
But what he'll never admit out loud is that his two daughters have changed him irrevocably, softened him even. And these two girls are the only women who will ever hold his heart forever. That is, until he meets the cousin of another biker’s old lady.
Celina is nothing like the women Knuckles used to date. She’s a journalist for the local newspaper, dresses well, and basically just has her life together. And the last thing she wants is to be involved with a Cursed Raven. But when the ripped, badass biker worms his way into her heart, she has trouble remembering all the reasons they would never work.
But when a scandal at her newspaper breaks the thin trust she has with Knuckles, will she walk away for good? Or will Knuckles fight to keep Celina in his life?
Knuckle Down is the second installment in The Cursed Ravens MC, and this time around we get Jack “Knuckles” Chester’s story. We first meet him in the Ace of Hearts, and he and Erin became “besties”. He might be a snokin’ hot biker, but he is really just a softy when is comes to this daughters.
We got to know him a little bit in the first books and I just adored Him and Erin’s friendship, and I was so happy to see that he was getting his own book. We still have the characters, Ace and Erin and the rest of the characters in this one too. It was pretty great to have all of them plays parts in Knuckles story this time around and see what they’ve been up lately.
Knuckles is a single father of two girls, and boy do they give a run for his money too. I think they were just as protective of their daddy than he was of them. Knuckles is such an enjoyable character and getting to see his interaction with them, made me love him even more that I already did. And I certainly wanted him to find some happiness.
Now, Celina was feisty but had a wall built around her heart from being burned before, and I certainly didn’t blame her either. She was a sweetheart though, and Knuckles persistence to be a part of her life and Celina stuborness to not let him was so enjoyable, and sometimes I wanted to shake her and make her see who he really is, a good guy, Finally she does cave, and while isn’t always smooth sailing, there were some trust issues and other things that seem to get in the way. And the banter between these two had me smiling and sometimes cracking up. Oh and the chemistry between Knuckles and Celina was such a great addition too. *fans self* The ending was sooo what I wanted for Knuckles and Celina, it took some time though, but was so worth it.
This was an amazing addition to the series, and fans of contemporary romances will enjoy the series to. The third book, Going Rogue will be out in August and I’m thrilled that I have a copy and can’t wait to dive in and see what Rogue story will entails.
