The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog. This is your news post, so personalize it! Include as much as you want or as little. Be creative, it can be a vlog or just a showcase of your goodies. Link up once a week or once a month, you decide. Book haul can include library books, yard sale finds, arcs and bought books..share them!

This has been a pretty unevevntful week, other than upper 90’s this week that we had. I don’t know how those who live outwest deal with the triple digit high. I didn’t even want to step foot outside. Our Doxie started pantint immediately when I took him out. My Poor baby… I started watching Supergirl and I am really liking it so far, and my daughter and I are through season 1 of The Flash. hopefully we’ll get to start it this week. I have a job interview! It would be doing the same job I am trained for, Corrections Officer at the Police department. So, fingers crossed.

Doing a little of Spring/Summer cleaning out our house. Having my kids go through their clothes is like asking them to go through their toys when they were little. They don’t want to part with anything. lol.. Even if the clothes don’t fit them anymore. Hope everyone here in the had a great 4th of July. The hubby had to get up at 2:30 the next morning for work, so we watched some on T.V.

The blog was pretty busy with posts and comments, and I got a couple of new additions to my ever growing TBR pile. And I was a couple of books from Debbie from The Reading Frenzy and Sam from We Live and Breathe Books too.

So, that’s it for me. How was your week and your holiday?

Keeping my fingers crossed for you with the job. I know several correctional officers, and they always have interesting stories to tell. I’m with you when it comes to this dastardly heat. It’s just really uncomfortable. The irony is that I was born in August, which is supposedly the hottest month of the year, but give me snow and 20-230 degree weather please. Stay cool and Happy Weekend! RO

  2. Debbie Haupt-The Reading Frenzy

Good luck on the interview Jenea and impressive so fingers crossed
We’ve been empty nesters for many years our youngest is 38 but getting my hubby to get rid of anything even junk mail is like chewing nails 🙂 I guess he’s going through his second childhood

I’m so glad you won the books (note: the lotto was a loser but thanks)
I hope you enjoy them as much as I did
    xo
    Happy Weekend

  3. Stormi Johnson

Good luck with the interview! We didn’t do anything for the 4th, fireworks just don’t interest me now that I am older. They make me cranky cause they bother my dogs.

Nightingale looks pretty cool! Hope you enjoy all your new reads!

Good luck with the job interview!!! And with the getting your kids to spring/summer clean. LOL! Yay! You got your book. I am warning you, your heart will be broken. The Lauren Blakely book looks fun. I almost requested, but I am so far behind, I have no business requesting anymore summer books.

  5. Laura Thomas

Best of luck with the job! It’s boiling here on the coast but the afternoon rains cool it a bit. Quiet weeks are nice, aren’t they:)

  6. Angela

Good luck on your interview! I agree, it has been way too hot lately, although today it was absolutely beautiful outside!

  7. Greg

Good luck with the interview! And I’m with you- I don’t know how people take triple digit heat. Once it gets in the 90’s it’s bad enough for me!

Hope you have a nice weekend. 🙂

  8. Samantha

Good luck with the interview!! I’m in awe of corrections officers-that has to be such a tough job!
    Have a great week!

  9. Laurel-Rain Snow

Ooh, I bookmarked An Anonymous Girl, as I loved the book those two authors brought out last: The Wife Between Us.

Enjoy your week…and while it is super-hot here, we’re sort of used to it, I guess. As long as the AC works. LOL

Thanks for sharing…and for visiting my blog.

  10. Nicci @ Sunny Buzzy Books

    Good luck with the interview!
I 100% sympathise on the summer sort out and asking a kid to part with anything… I’ve taken to ‘treating’ the little dude to a weekend with his favourite person (grandad!) and then ransacking his room for all the things he never touches anymore. I stash them before he returns and my thing is if he doesn’t notice / ask for it within a couple of months of me stashing it then I’m good to give it away for I’m right and he REALLY doesn’t need it anymore.

I hate the heat. It’s been over 80 degrees at my computer desk this week. I have a thermometer on the desk because the heat has been awful. Good luck with the cleaning and interview! Have a great week!

  12. Lover Of Romance

Yeah its been pretty hot here in Utah and we just had a really bad fire too which makes the heat even worse. Like 100 acres every five minutes type of fire. Its why I prefer spring or fall because its comfortable and nice weather instead of being too hot to enjoy the sun outside or you get toasted like lobster. 🙂

I think its human nature to want to hold onto our things, even if we still can’t wear them or use them.

  13. Rachel

We purged our kids’ closets months ago and they still miss some of their clothes. Oh well. That’s life buddy. 😂🤣

  14. Evelina @ AvalinahsBooks

Good luck on your job interview 🙂 the weather’s been better here, less of the heat. Sorry I haven’t been able to visit in the past weeks! Been sooooo busy. Catching up now 🙂 I hope you’re having a good week.
