The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog. This is your news post, so personalize it! Include as much as you want or as little. Be creative, it can be a vlog or just a showcase of your goodies. Link up once a week or once a month, you decide. Book haul can include library books, yard sale finds, arcs and bought books..share them!

This was a pretty uneventful week here at our house. Nothing much happened, beside some reading and blogging for me. The weather was nice all week until Friday night. We had awful thunderstorms with some nasty winds and pouring rain. We have more for all day Saturday too.
Ugh. My husband is off all week, the plant where he works has shutdown every summer for a week, so we have a staycation going on this week. But, with the weather forecast having rain every day this week, we won’t be going out all that much. I see a lot of movie watching and PUBG on the xbox happening.

Our daughter has already chosen her elective for the school year, and will start August 13th as our school system starts then too. Our son is doing good with his studies for his HiSet (GED) testing coming up too. Overall, I guess we had a pretty good week. 🙂 But wow, is this summer flying by!

Blogging life this week didn’t start off all that great. My domain name expired and they had my hosting package all messed up, and of course they are not open till the weekdays for any type of billings issues so that I could get it fixed on Sunday. So no one could visit on Sunday or Monday until they opened aand fixed it. They had to separate my hosting from the domain name, it was a mess. At least they got it fixed, but I believe I will be looking for another hosting company, it’s not the first time there has been issues with something or another. The blogging week ended up being a good one though, which makes me happy. I got a couple new goodies this week. And with everything going on and playing catch up on the blog, I stayed away from Amazon. My wallet is happy. lol..

That’s it for me, how was everyone’s week? Got any new goodies?

YIKES! So glad they got the hosting thing fixed, and hate that it messed you up. I’m cool with staycations, and find they are the perfect reason for me to relax to read or watch movies too. We expect rain to start here tonight and through the week too, but those thunderstorms always make me nervous for power loss. I sure hope your weekend is as amazing as you are! Hugs…and Happy Saturday! RO

Glad you got the hosting issue fixed. I’m sure that was stressful. We had a huge storm blow through here too and it knocked down a bunch of power poles.

  3. Sam@WLABB

I hope you have a relaxing staycation, especially with all the school stuff looming in the near future. Good luck with the blog issues. I hope it gets easily and quickly resolved.

  4. Harvee

I’m still using blogger – no domain name. Can’t deal with the complexities! Good luck with your site.

Boo to rainy weather probably ruining your staycation! But honestly, movies and video games sound like a dream. 🙂
I’m super frustrated to hear about your blogging related issues. I’m glad they fixed it, but still. How irritating.
Hope you have a good week!

I am very relieved that the hosting issue was fixed – I was a tad taken aback last week when I couldn’t visit you because your site was no longer active, according to the popup! Enjoy your staycation – they are often the best kind. After all, you know the food will be good and the beds nice and comfy:))

I totally get the hosting issues. My old blog had that same problem and it was on godaddy. I do not recommend them. Anyway, this one is blogspot and I am happy with staying with them for now. It is supposed to rain here all week. There is nothing wrong with a Staycation. I prefer to get up and go but I have done staycations. Have a wonderful week!

Whew! Glad you got your blog issues resolved. I worried that it was my computer when I couldn’t get into your blog…but then I got into other blogs, so that’s why I sent you a message. So glad you’re back in business.

Your books look tempting…The Summer Wives is one I’ve been noticing. Enjoy you reading, and thanks for visiting my blog.

Ugh I hate blog issues! I am not techie enough to handle it and I don’t have the right words to explain it to people. But, I’m glad you got it all fixed up! Have a good week and enjoy the staycation. It stormed here all weekend.

I hope you have no more blog issues. I love staycation and I hope yours is fun with some reading and not all bad weather. We are supposed to be cooler here 80s instead of 90s but some rain each day and more humidity. Anne – Books of My Hear

This summer is really flying by. I can’t believe it. Hope you guys have a good staycation. It rained a lot here too the last few days. At least it cooled some of the heat down.

Sorry to hear about the domain name issues, but glad it worked out in the end.

    Have a nice week Jenea.

I am glad you were able to get the blogging issue straightened out. I know that must have been a pain! It sounds like everything else is going well. I am hoping to get back into somewhat of a normal schedule in another couple weeks or so. Have a great week, Jenea!

I’d LOVE a good thunderstorm! It’s so hot, muggy and rainless here at the moment that we need a good thunderous downpour to clear the air.

Sucks with the domain issues. 🙁 At least they’re sorted now and you don’t need to worry about it for almost another year!
