The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog. This is your news post, so personalize it! Include as much as you want or as little. Be creative, it can be a vlog or just a showcase of your goodies. Link up once a week or once a month, you decide. Book haul can include library books, yard sale finds, arcs and bought books..share them!

This was a pretty eventful week for us here. My husband broke his finger at work, so they put him out for a week until they can recheck him again. The bad thing is, there is no light duty where he works, so money will be tight for the next couple of weeks. And this Monday I go for a nulcear stress test which I am not looking forward to at all. But our daughter will start school on the 13th and she is pretty excited for getting back to her school work. She’ll have Algrebra 1, Biology, U.S. History and English 1. We decided to hold of on the elective courses till next semester, so we can see how much work these courses entail. Our son is supposed to be ready to take his drivers test, and he doesn’t feel he is ready. The kids where we live are so weird when it comes to driving, half don’t get their licenses until they are made to. And that we are going through. Ugh.

The weather has been awful here. It’s poured rain for the past several days and the creeks and streams are really high. But no flooding the roads yet, so there it that atleast. It should clear up at least for a few days. Blog wise, I am behind on commenting back and visiting everyone too. Hopefully I can get all caught up soon. I got a couple of new goodies, but that is all for me. I stayed away from even the freebies this week. 🙂

That’s it for me, how was everyone’s week? Got any new goodies?

My daughter said she didn’t feel ready, when the time came to take her driver’s test, and now she is 23, and still without a license. I hope your son just needs a bit more practice. Sorry to hear about the hubs. Here’s to a quick recovery, and good luck with your test.

One of my brothers didn’t get his license until he was almost 40…So it could be worse. I never understood it-why wouldn’t you want your license?!
Hope your stress test goes okay and that your husband’s finger heals!

Oh no sorry to hear about your husband’s finger! Ouch. And yeah what is it with kids now? When I was a kid I couldn’t WAIT to get my license, but now a loot of kids seem to not care much?

Good luck with your test. And hopefully the weather improves…

That’s the pits about your hubby’s finger, and I imagine that must be painful. Sending some healing hugs. I’m sending positive thoughts that everything will be fine on your stress test, so please don’t worry too much! I didn’t get my license until I was bout 25, but my son was the opposite. As soon as he could, not only did he get his license, but he saved up his money to buy his own car, which shocked me!(lol) He used to get a ton of speeding tickets as a kid, but now that he’s in his 30’s he realizes he doesn’t have the money to be giving away to the state, and drives the way he’s supposed to.(lol) Your son will turn around soon. Hugs…RO

I got Unleashed from NetGalley. Looking forward to reading that one.

Oh no on the broken finger. I hope it heals soon and good luck with the test.

I didn’t get my license until I was 24. I was just too nervous in the car driving to feel like I was ready to be out there driving myself.

Hope your husband’s injury heals fast!

I was eager to get my driver’s license, and so were my kids. But one of my granddaughters didn’t get hers until she was 19.

Enjoy your week and your books, and thanks for visiting my blog.

Holy heck, I can’t believe your husband isn’t put on paid leave seeing as he broke his finger at work! Unpaid time off for an injury sustained on the job would never fly here… Fingers crossed it heals quickly and good luck with your stress test!

I never wanted to take my driving test and still hate driving but my mom made me take it at the age of 18. If she wouldn’t have pushed me I might not have ever done it…lol. I just never liked driving it makes me nervous is there a phobia about driving? 🙂 Hope he feels ready soon.

    Have a great week!!

It took me a while to get the hang of driving – I was having a real problem working out my left from right, without realising it was an issue, until my 4th driving instructor nailed it. He made me lipstick an L on my left hand around the thumb joint, so I could always see it when holding the steering wheel and I haven’t looked back. I was pausing too long at every junction when told to turn left or right, which didn’t give sufficient time to do all the mirror, signal, manoeuvre malarky… Fire directions at him and make him turn an imaginary steering wheel – he might have the same problem – a surprising number of us do…

Oh my gosh, I would kill for some rain right now. We’ve been having extreme hot weather here in Belgium and it hasn’t rained in forever. All the grass and everything is basically dead everywhere. But they said it should cool down at the end of the week so crossing my fingers for that.

Sorry about everything that’s been going on. Hopefully your husband heals quickly. I didn’t get my license until I was 18. I needed A LOT of practice to pass the test. I’ve never been able to afford a car, so I have a license and nothing to drive.

My girls both got their license pretty close to their 16th birthday but a lot of kids don’t rush things around here. If your husband got hurt at work, he should be able to receive some kind of workman’s comp while he is out. It is hard to believe that the school year will be starting soon. My youngest starts her senior year on the 16th. Have a great week!

Ouch! Broken finger… not good. The weather is a bit crazy down here in Aus… send some rain this way! Enjoy your new reads.
