Sunday Post #57

Posted by Jenea @ Jenea's Book Obsession in Sunday Post / 39 Comments

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer. It’s a chance to share News. A post to recap the past week, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up for the week on our blog. This is your news post, so personalize it! Include as much as you want or as little. Be creative, it can be a vlog or just a showcase of your goodies. Link up once a week or once a month, you decide. Book haul can include library books, yard sale finds, arcs and bought books..share them!

i took a couple of days away from my blog due a lot going on here at our house. From now I will be doing the Sunday Post every other week. The workload for school among other things going on, it will be a little easier for me. I will still be posting a couple of reviews each week.

Our son finally got his braces off after 3 years. Yay!!! And my husband finally got an appointment for his hand to be looked at, sadly it isn’t for 3 weeks from now. But hopefully give us some news on what is going on and a plan to get him back to be able to use his hand.

Our weather here has been up and down. We were down to 49 degrees for 2 nights, but right back up to upper 60’s for overnight. Yuck. Our yard is covered by leaves and the trees are already changing colors. I think we see an early Fall, which I am all for. I enjoy the cooler temperatures and all the colors.

Blogwise, I think I am all caught up with commenting back and visiting. I got some really good new books over the past 2 weeks, one that I’ve already read. My reading however is just awful, I think I am in a reading slump. Which sucks! It has a lot to do with the new medicine I am taking too. The ups and downs are sometimes hard to explain and deal with. But hopefully I will find a book that will pull me out. Well, I think that is just about it for me. How was everyone’s week? Got any new goodies?

I think I have changed to doing the Sunday Post every other week too. Yay for your son. I am sure he is happy to have his braces off. The weather has been a little all over the place here too. I think I am ready for fall. Enjoy your new books and have a great week!

It can be really hard to keep up with a blog on top of everything else. I would say to pick a blog schedule that works best for you and go with it. Yay for your son getting his braces off! That is such an awesome thing for him. Too bad your husband has to wait so long to see the doctor. That would bother me. Enjoy your new reads!

Hope they can figure out what is wrong with your husband’s hand so he can get it working again. You got some good books so I hope your slumpy feeling goes away! I hate reading slumps!

Waiting 3 weeks for an appointment is so long. I know the feeling though. At least it isn’t just in Belgium where getting appointments can take weeks. Ugh. I do hope they find out what’s going on for your husband’s hand. xxx

Uh, I’d take upper 60s. We had 80s yesterday, but are looking at mid 90s this week. Ewww. That’s stressful waiting for the doctor to get to your husband’s hand. I hope when they finally look at it, they can help. What a huge event for your son! Three year and now beautiful teeth (I hope). My daughter was so happy with the results, she still (after 10 years) still sleeps with her retainer, so her teeth don’t shift.

We’ve had a hot, dry summer, but we’ll take that over last summer—cool along with Hurricane Harvey.

At 60, I got braces (again!) so tell your son to keep wearing the retainer like they advise you.

    Enjoy your week!

Here’s hoping your husband’s hand issues are resolved…and that school routines don’t take over your life. LOL. Congrats on the braces!

Enjoy your reading…and a slump is something we all go through. I like the look of Winter in Paradise.

Thanks for sharing…and for visiting my blog.

Hope the slump passes soon. I like the looks of Snowflakes on Silver Cove – especially
the festive feel good Christmas romance part of the title ;-). Enjoy

Our weather still cannot make up its mind – it was beautiful yesterday, but back to heat and humidity today. Bring on fall!

Your son must be excited to have his braces off. I can’t believe your husband has to wait three weeks to see a doctor about his hand. Well, I can believe it, but I think it stinks. I hope it isn’t anything serious. Your new books look good. I think I will be ready to jump into the Christmas/Holiday themed reading soon. I hope you have a great week, Jenea!

I’m sorry about your reading slump – that’s always miserable. And that your husband is having to wait so long for an appointment – hands are so important. Have a good week:).

I had a bit of a slump too, although I think it was mostly because the book I was reading was a bit meh. Hope yours passes soon, and that your medicine doesn’t make it too bad. Oh and good luck with your husband’s hand too- hope it isn’t anything serious.

I’m looking forward to fall too, and liking the cooldown. Although we’ll still have hot days in Sept I’m sure- but at least the nights are cooler.

    The Perfect Girlfriend looks fun.

I’m sorry about the reading slump. Those are awful. Sometimes a blog break is needed. I’ve had them too. Hope you have a great week!
