Review for Christmas on the Coast by Rebecca Boxall

Review for Christmas on the Coast by Rebecca Boxall

When I picked this book, I was thinking that it would be a Christmas themed book, but it turned out to much more and in a good way. Yes, it was about Christmas, but more about family and the history they carry with them from generation to generation, the good and the bad. I am so glad that I picked this one up, it was such a good read.

Libby and Stella have been best friends since they were small children and now even as adults, they are pretty much inseparable. That is until, Stella learns of the reason behind the tension between their families all these years from her mother and wants nothing to do with Libby. A devastated …

Something Just Like This
By: Tracy Krimmer
Published: February 14, 2018
Genre: Adult, Romantic Comedy

Love? Second chances? That crap is for romantics, not realists like Juliette. She has a bad attitude about love and an even worse one when it comes to second chances. And she may dress like an elf for a few weeks out of the year, but that doesn’t mean she loves Christmas.

Stability? Purpose? Landon is surfing a pleasant wave of both until he’s fired. Devastating …

2017 HoHoHoReadthon WrapUp

2017 HoHoHoReadthon WrapUp

This past week was my first time participating in the HoHoHoReadathon. I searched for winter/holiday themed books, and jeez there are so many, it was kinda hard to pick which ones to read. I found a few that I decided giving a try and ending up really enjoying. I did participate in a couple of the challenges, and one I had help from my daughter too. We had fun unscrambling words. lol… I’ll be posting reviews for them over the next couple of weeks. I am already looking forward to doing this next year again. 🙂

So here is what I read this week:

Can’t Wait Wednesday #17 Charming Hannah (Big Sky #1) by Kristen Proby

Can’t Wait Wednesday #17 Charming Hannah (Big Sky #1) by Kristen Proby

Can’t-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted here, at Wishful Endings, to spotlight and discuss the books we’re excited about that we have yet to read. Generally they’re books that have yet to be released. It’s based on Waiting on Wednesday, hosted by the fabulous Jill at Breaking the Spine. If you’re continuing with WOW, feel free to link those up as well!

When I came across this, I loved the sounds of it. A man who has law enforcement in his blood, and a man who think he has everything he needs. That is, until a sassy woman comes to town. How can I resist this?!?! These two sound like they are going to …

Review for The Vanishing Season by Joanna Schaffhausen

Review for The Vanishing Season by Joanna Schaffhausen

The Vanishing Season is Joanna Schaffhausen’s first novel, and wow was it a good one. It had all the things that I want in a thriller, it’s haunting, flawed characters that you don’t know whether to trust or not, and plenty of suspenseful moments.

Ellery Hathaway is an officer in a small town, where crime is low with the occasional call here and there. That is, until people start to go missing. Each year, and the same day which is her birthday. She has told no one her birthday, let alone her past or how she changed her name. She is the girl who was abducted 14 years ago and is the lone survivor of a sadistic serial killer. Ellery …
