Review for When Life Happened by Jewel E. Ann

Review for When Life Happened by Jewel E. Ann

This was a hard book for me to read. I went in blind, only reading the first couple of lines of the blurb on Amazon, and decided to try it. I wasn’t really prepared for what I got. I had a hard time getting past the cheating, it was a big issue with me, to the point I had to think about not finishing the book. In the end, I pushed through. I’m not going to go into a lot of detail of what all happened for that will give it all away.

This is filled with flawed characters, and they all have their own baggage, some more than others. But they pick themselves up and keep on moving, maybe …

Review for Drift by Amy Murray

Review for Drift by Amy Murray

It’s been a while since read a paranormal romance of any kind, so if course I couldn’t pass this one up and from the start this had my attention.

Abigail’s mother has had shizophrenia for as long as she can remember, so after her mothers death her fears come to the surface of if she will turn out to be like her mother. Especially when memories start to come of a man she doesn’t know, places she’s never been and she remembers things she shouldn’t. That is, till she meets him one night and all the memories draw her to him even more. There was a whole lot more to all of this though and there is another person that …

Review for By Your Side by Kasie West

Review for By Your Side by Kasie West

It has been quite a while since I read a book from Kasie West, but I did enjoy her On the Fence and Pivot Point so I had to give this one a try too. Especially after reading the blurb and it saying they get locked in a library. Um, yes please!

It starts right off with Autumn getting left behind by her friends at the library. Now her friends think she is with them, and Autumn believes that they will figure out that she isn’t and come back for her. The more time that passes she begins to doubt they are coming back and this is where she finds Dax in the library. He is the fly under the radar …

Review for The Unexpected Way of Falling (Unexpected #1) by Jessica Sorensen

Review for The Unexpected Way of Falling (Unexpected #1) by Jessica Sorensen

I’ve always been a fans of Sorensen’s work and I’ve the Nova series and loved it, so when I saw that there was a book duet called Unexpected, I knew I had to read it.

Now onto the story, having a crush on your best friends brothers isn’t always a good idea, but I guess sometimes you can’t help it. Now Elodie and Ensley do agree to try and take Carter down and make him fall for Ensley, only things don’t go how they planned and other things come into play. Like Carters own little plan he has going on, which is not good for Ensley at all. Not to mention there are some things about Carters family that even …

Review for Throw Away Girls (The Jaycee Wilder Series #1) by Jennifer Vaughn

Review for Throw Away Girls (The Jaycee Wilder Series #1) by Jennifer Vaughn

This one those reviews that is kinda hard for me to write without giving away lot, so I will kinda skim over some things. Throw Away Girls is giving to us the reader from a reports POV. It was a little different having this from the reporters point of view rather then from someone within the law enforcement side of the investigation, but I thought it was it was interesting to see if from this side though.

Now on to the plot itself, there has been a few murders of young girls that has caught the attention of a news reporter, Jaycee Wilder, who makes it her mission to expose this killer at any costs. But this is one methodical …

Review for Our Broken Pieces by Sarah White

Review for Our Broken Pieces by Sarah White

Our Broken Pieces is labeled as a young adult contemporary romance, but to me it seemed to be more of a coming of age read. These are two young people who older beyond their years, and have been through a pretty good amount of crap, each in their own ways.

We meet Everly just after learning that her long time boyfriend has broke up with her, which is heartbreaking enough, but it’s not just that. He broke up with her because he was seeing her best friend behind her back. Everly’s parent send her to see a therapist when she start having severe anxiety attacks to get her some help. This is also where we meet Gabe who receiving therapy but …

Review for the The Black Witch (The Black Witch Chronicles, #1) by Laurie Forest

Review for the The Black Witch (The Black Witch Chronicles, #1) by Laurie Forest

I started reading this book only after reading the summary, which sounded pretty to me. I made it all way through, and I didn’t have any issues with it and I thought it was a pretty good book. So, I am little confused on all the drama I have seen about it. Anyway…

The story starts out with Elloren who comes this strong magical family, but she hold no magic. She has come of age to married (wanfasted), but has lived this sheltered life with her Uncle, she has no idea what awaits her out there away from her Uncle. Not only that, she also has to deal with everyone knowing that she is the granddaughter of the great Black Witch …
