Review for Our Broken Pieces by Sarah White

Review for Our Broken Pieces by Sarah White

Our Broken Pieces is labeled as a young adult contemporary romance, but to me it seemed to be more of a coming of age read. These are two young people who older beyond their years, and have been through a pretty good amount of crap, each in their own ways.

We meet Everly just after learning that her long time boyfriend has broke up with her, which is heartbreaking enough, but it’s not just that. He broke up with her because he was seeing her best friend behind her back. Everly’s parent send her to see a therapist when she start having severe anxiety attacks to get her some help. This is also where we meet Gabe who receiving therapy but …

Review for the The Black Witch (The Black Witch Chronicles, #1) by Laurie Forest

Review: Emma in the Night by Wendy Walker

Review: Emma in the Night by Wendy Walker

When I surfing around on Goodreads, I noticed that there are some pretty mixed reviews for this one. Sometimes you just have to give it a try, so I did. And this is the first book that I have read from Wendy Walker and it certainly won’t be the last one.

We get the story in alternating point of views between Cass the youngest sister and Abigail Winters the forensic psychiatrist that was part of initial missing children case. Cass’ story unfolds over the first week after her arrival back home, so we get a piece here and a piece there of what happened during the time the girls were gone. Where they were, who was with them and what happened. …

Review: Midnight at the Electric by Jodi Lynn Anderson

Review: Midnight at the Electric by Jodi Lynn Anderson

I always been one those that reads the summary before I read a book, but I decided not to this time. So, I went in blind and I really happy that I did. The beginning I did think I was going to be in store for a story that was going to take place on another planet, but it didn’t turn out to be that way, it stay here on Earth. This story does however take us through three different time periods with four very different women, both young and older.

Adri, is our main protagonist and she is extremely smart and has been chosen to go and live on Mars. She keep to herself a lot and she’s extremely blunt. …
