Review for Silent Child by Sarah A. Denzil

Review for Silent Child by Sarah A. Denzil

I read the blurb for this and knew that I had to read it, because I wanted to know to who behind Aidens disappearance. Silent Child is every parents worst nightmare, having your child kidnapped and never knowing what happened to them. But in Silent Child, the boy comes back 10 years later and to find the answers to where he has been is the most important thing to his Mother.

Emma was a young mother, barely out of high school when she had Aiden, and losing him during the flood broke her. Emma had began to put her life back together, she’s remarried, and was expecting a baby, when Aiden comes home. I personally couldn’t imagine going through …

Can’t-Wait Wednesday #3 The Cruel Prince (The Folk of the Air #1) by Holly Black

Can’t-Wait Wednesday #3 The Cruel Prince (The Folk of the Air #1) by Holly Black

Can’t-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted here, at Wishful Endings, to spotlight and discuss the books we’re excited about that we have yet to read. Generally they’re books that have yet to be released. It’s based on Waiting on Wednesday, hosted by the fabulous Jill at Breaking the Spine. If you’re continuing with WOW, feel free to link those up as well!

This weeks pick for me is a book from Holly Black. I read her Modern Faerie Tale series and The Coldest Girl in Town and loved them, and my daughter and I read Doll Bones too. I know this is a long wait, but I am pretty excited to see what she …

Review for A Beautiful Poison by Lydia Kang

Review for A Beautiful Poison by Lydia Kang

I am not much a historical reader, but there are a couple time periods that I really enjoy, anything from the mid teens of the 1900’s to the 1930’s I love to read about. And, A Beautiful Poison is set within this time period and has so many things going for it, there is chemistry as in actual chemistry and murders, mystery and dark family secrets that no one ever wanted to be revealed. A page turner from the start.

Kang did a wonderful job giving us such a vivid picture of the world in 1918. The houses where the wealthy live, the streets and buildings in town. We also see the factories and stores and the apartments where the …

Review for The Art of Hiding by Amanda Prowse

Review for The Art of Hiding by Amanda Prowse

The Art of Hiding is my first from Prowse and it did not disappoint at all. It is full of emotions and brings a lot of questions to the surface that certainly make you think.

Nina has suffered a devastating loss, her husband dying. It was sudden and completely unexpected in Nina’s perfect world. With the loss comes more hard times than she thought. Her way of life and the husband she though she knew were all torn apart. There is no time for to worry about all the material things that she has now lost, her boys need her more than ever. Being penniless, homeless and questioning everything you thought you knew about the man you love isn’t the …

Review for Finding Claire Fletcher (Claire Fletcher #1) by Lisa Regan

Review for Finding Claire Fletcher (Claire Fletcher #1) by Lisa Regan

Finding CLaire Fletcher was published back in 2012 and had some changes done to it, and the copy that I read is the updated version. With that being said, I am a big fan of psychological thrillers/suspense as many of you have probably guessed. So, it was pretty much a no brainer that I would pick this one up. This is my first book from Lisa Regan and it most certainly will not be the last. I’m not going to restate the plot of the book, because the blurb tells you pretty much everything, and anything else I tel you will just give away too much of the rest of the story itself and I don’t want to ruin anything …
