Review for The Visitors by Catherine Burns

Review for The Visitors by Catherine Burns

The Visitors is a story of two siblings that are now adults that still live together in the family home. Marion has always came and went as she pleased and left her brother Johns to his secret excursions in the cellar. That is until she has to do into the cellar and discovers just what he has been doing down there all these years, which was quite frightening. My review will be a little vague, it’s just so hard not to give to much away, so have to say I’m sorry in advance.

Marion was verbally abused growing up, never feeling wanted, never believing that she worth anything. Even as an adult, she is still this way. She spends most …

Review for The Midnight Dance by Nikki Katz

Review for The Midnight Dance by Nikki Katz

The Midnight Dance was one of my anticipated reads for the year, and I have always had a soft spot for ballet, so of course I had to get my hands on it. So, I was so excited to get a chance to read it so soon. I will warn that there isn’t as much ballet as I would have hoped but in its place was a thrilling ride of twist and turns and I wasn’t disappointed at all.

The story centers around Penny who has been attending the Grande Teatro, where she is one of twelve ballerinas. This is the only place that Penny has ever know, but her memories start changing, and they don’t make sense. She sets out …

Review for Depth of Lies by E.C. Diskin

Review for Depth of Lies by E.C. Diskin

Depth of Lies was a fantastic read. These women were all so very different. They were moms, wives, but they all were all the best of friends. And even though they had all moved away from each other one by one, they stayed in touch. And when Shea drowned, they came together once again, but her death didn’t make sense to them. Shea’s life on the outside seemed perfect, but it wasn’t. From what it seemed none of their lives were. They all had their own secrets. And this story takes us through their secrets and they affect each of them, and learning what their friendships endured.

There are quite a few women in this, so I’m going to mention …

Can’t-Wait Wednesday #5 City of Lies (Counterfeit Lady #1) by Victoria Thompson

Can’t-Wait Wednesday #5 City of Lies (Counterfeit Lady #1) by Victoria Thompson

Can’t-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted here, at Wishful Endings, to spotlight and discuss the books we’re excited about that we have yet to read. Generally they’re books that have yet to be released. It’s based on Waiting on Wednesday, hosted by the fabulous Jill at Breaking the Spine. If you’re continuing with WOW, feel free to link those up as well!

I love this era of time, everything about just fascinates me. And Elizabeth sounds like she will be pretty badass too. I can’t wait to get my hands on this one for sure. And November isn’t too far off either. 🙂 That cover is Amazing also!!

Review for Beneath the Surface by Sibel Hodge

Review for Beneath the Surface by Sibel Hodge

I haven’t read very many conspiracy theory type books, I really don’t think I have ever read one like this now that I really think of it. They were mostly steampunk or historical ones. This however, is a pharmaceutical conspiracy theory, with murders, unexplained suicides and full of suspense.

Holly has returned to her home town of Ashfield, but she has returned to a horrible tradegy. Her childhood friend and her husband were killed by their son, and he has killed himself as well. But, why? What made this boy do something so horrific. The more Holly searches for answers, the deeper she finds herself in the middle of something she never dreamed. Things become more dangerous, not only for …

Review for Silent Child by Sarah A. Denzil

Review for Silent Child by Sarah A. Denzil

I read the blurb for this and knew that I had to read it, because I wanted to know to who behind Aidens disappearance. Silent Child is every parents worst nightmare, having your child kidnapped and never knowing what happened to them. But in Silent Child, the boy comes back 10 years later and to find the answers to where he has been is the most important thing to his Mother.

Emma was a young mother, barely out of high school when she had Aiden, and losing him during the flood broke her. Emma had began to put her life back together, she’s remarried, and was expecting a baby, when Aiden comes home. I personally couldn’t imagine going through …

Review for Finding Claire Fletcher (Claire Fletcher #1) by Lisa Regan

Review for Finding Claire Fletcher (Claire Fletcher #1) by Lisa Regan

Finding CLaire Fletcher was published back in 2012 and had some changes done to it, and the copy that I read is the updated version. With that being said, I am a big fan of psychological thrillers/suspense as many of you have probably guessed. So, it was pretty much a no brainer that I would pick this one up. This is my first book from Lisa Regan and it most certainly will not be the last. I’m not going to restate the plot of the book, because the blurb tells you pretty much everything, and anything else I tel you will just give away too much of the rest of the story itself and I don’t want to ruin anything …
