Review for Haven by Mary Lindsey

Review for Haven by Mary Lindsey

Oh my god, this was an amazing book! I’ve read a couple of Lindsey’s books and enjoyed a lot, so of course when I was given the chance to read this, I jumped on it. I read this in about 6 hours, sleep got the better of me and I had to put it down. Ugh… Never fear, I finished it as soon as I got up the next morning, it was just that good.

New Wurzburg is a magical town, but from the outside it looks like any other small town. After the death of his mother, Rain is sent to live with his Aunt, and he soon learns that there is much more to this lazy town than meets …

Can’t Wait Wednesday #15 The Looking Glass by Janet McNally

Can’t Wait Wednesday #15 The Looking Glass by Janet McNally

Can’t-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted here, at Wishful Endings, to spotlight and discuss the books we’re excited about that we have yet to read. Generally they’re books that have yet to be released. It’s based on Waiting on Wednesday, hosted by the fabulous Jill at Breaking the Spine. If you’re continuing with WOW, feel free to link those up as well!

I came across this a little while back and the cover really caught my attention, and after reading the blurb I was hooked! It would be a great read for this time of year too, too bad the wait is kinda long.

Review for The November Girl by Lydia Kang

Review for The November Girl by Lydia Kang

The November Girl is one those books that while your reading it, you’re enthralled. So many things are going on, so many questions about the characters that you want answers for, that you kept reading and before you know it you are at the last page. But after I was done, I wasn’t sure at fist how I felt about it, but the more I thought about and when I sat down to write this review, I realized just how much I really did enjoy it.

Anda is a witch of sorts, she is half human, half witch. And she is the cause of the storms that takes the lives of sailors every November, basically she feeds of of chaos. …

Review for The Midnight Dance by Nikki Katz

Review for The Midnight Dance by Nikki Katz

The Midnight Dance was one of my anticipated reads for the year, and I have always had a soft spot for ballet, so of course I had to get my hands on it. So, I was so excited to get a chance to read it so soon. I will warn that there isn’t as much ballet as I would have hoped but in its place was a thrilling ride of twist and turns and I wasn’t disappointed at all.

The story centers around Penny who has been attending the Grande Teatro, where she is one of twelve ballerinas. This is the only place that Penny has ever know, but her memories start changing, and they don’t make sense. She sets out …

Review for Speak Easy, Speak Love by McKelle George

Review for Speak Easy, Speak Love by McKelle George

I had a 5th grade teacher who loved Shakespeare so we read a lot of his work, and this being a retelling of Much Ado About Nothing made me so curious about it and the era of time is one of my favorites. So, Speak Easy, Speak Love was a fantastic and fun read for me.

Beatrice has been sent to live with her Uncle who happens to run a speakeasy in the basement of his home, which she did not know about till she got there. Since the speakeasy isn’t doing so good, her new found friend Hero and cousin has the idea to throw a big party to see if they would be able to save it. So much …
